In partnership with JADEER GROUP, IHG will introduce a new 140-key lifestyle hotel in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, set to open in 2033.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with JADEER GROUP for Hotel Indigo Cairo New Administrative Capital, further expanding the company’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Egypt.

The 140-key hotel will be located within a mixed-use development in the New Capital in the east of Cairo and is scheduled to open in 2033.

Hotel Indigo Cairo New Administrative Capital will be well positioned to serve the area’s growing business, governmental, and residential ecosystem, catering to both corporate and leisure demand. The brand’s lifestyle positioning and strong neighbourhood storytelling make it a natural fit for the New Capital’s evolving urban landscape, which is rapidly emerging as Egypt’s future administrative and commercial centre.

Located east of Greater Cairo, the New Capital is one of Egypt’s most significant national development projects, designed as a smart, master-planned city featuring modern infrastructure, government and diplomatic districts, premium residential communities, and large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments. With strong connectivity to Cairo via major highways and planned transport networks, alongside a growing pipeline of cultural, retail, and lifestyle destinations, the New Capital is poised to become a key demand generator for hospitality.

Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “Egypt continues to be a priority market for IHG, and the New Capital represents a significant opportunity as the country’s future administrative and business hub. Hotel Indigo is particularly well suited to this evolving urban environment, offering a lifestyle-led experience that resonates with both business and leisure travellers. We are pleased to build on our partnership with JADEER GROUP and further strengthen our presence in this important destination.

Mahmoud Abou Al Khair, Chairman of JADEER GROUP, added: “Our continued collaboration with IHG reflects our confidence in their global expertise and strong brand portfolio. Following the signing of Hotel Indigo New Cairo, our partnership with IHG for Hotel Indigo Cairo New Administrative Capital is a strategic addition that aligns with our vision to develop distinctive, mixed-use destinations. We believe the brand’s focus on design, culture, and neighbourhood storytelling will resonate strongly within the New Capital.

As one of IHG’s leading lifestyle brands, Hotel Indigo properties offer a gateway to some of the world’s most inspiring neighbourhoods. Just as no two neighbourhoods are alike, no two Hotel Indigo hotels are the same, with each property drawing inspiration from its surroundings to shape its design, experiences, and locally inspired dining concepts.

Hotel Indigo Cairo New Administrative Capital will reflect the character of its surrounding neighbourhood, with locally inspired design and experiences that celebrate the city’s evolving urban identity. The hotel will offer an inspiring lifestyle-led stay, connecting guests to the creativity, culture, and energy of the New Capital, while catering to both business and leisure travellers.

The signing builds on the strong partnership between IHG and JADEER GROUP, following the announcement of Hotel Indigo New Cairo in September last year, reflecting the owner’s continued confidence in IHG and its lifestyle brands.

The project also further strengthens IHG’s presence in the New Capital, complementing the existing pipeline of InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, and Holiday Inn hotels in the area.

IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates 9 hotels in Egypt across four brands, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, and Staybridge Suites, with a strong pipeline of 23 hotels scheduled to open in the coming years, underscoring the Group’s long-term commitment to Egypt’s hospitality sector.
