PATA's Annual Tourism Monitor 2024

In 2023, international visitor arrivals across 47 Asia Pacific destinations surged to 522M, marking a 94+% increase from the previous year.

This upward trend persisted into early 2024 with Asian destinations being the primary driver.

The region accounts for eight of the top 10 destinations by volume, including Hong Kong SAR, Japan, and Thailand.

Notably, Hong Kong SAR experienced a 64.2% increase in visitor numbers compared to the same period in 2023.
