Tuesday, 2nd May 2006
Source : Wine For Asia 2006
Event proving to be the most comprehensive wine exchange in Asia. Wine For Asia 2006, returns with a bang as it's sales figures and participation numbers hit the roof.

7 months to the event, Wine For Asia 2006 has amassed a stellar panel of supporting agencies, trade bodies and an impressive line-up of exhibitors from all corners of the world.  Continuing on the second leg of its aggressive exhibitor recruitment and visitor promotion campaign, Wine For Asia will undoubtedly be THE most comprehensive show, a one stop shop for buyers and consumers.  It is the gateway to vineyards around the world.

Organised by Singex Exhibitions and Wine Resources, Wine For Asia 2006 is expected to attract 450 International & local wine exhibitors, 15,000 regional and local visitors, trade buyers from 40 different countries.

2006 is a monumental year for Wine For Asia as country representations have shown a marked increase with the likes of Italy, Australia, South Africa, Romania, New Zealand, Austria, Turkey, Hungary, Argentina, Chile, Spain, USA, Thailand, China, India, Mexico, Germany and Singapore.   The response comes as no surprise in view of the successes that many of these exhibitors have experienced in the last showing.

We have also taken a bold initiative to organize an integrated French Pavilion to showcase nine wine regions in France South West, Langeudoc-Rousillon, Provence, Bordeaux, Alsace, Burgundy, Cotes du Rhone, Corsica and Loire Valley.  These regions are sure to offer exciting new choices to Asian wine buyers as they present distinctive and exciting wine styles that many Asians are not so familiar with as compared to Bordeaux or Burgundy. Imagine the feeling of being pampered by wines ranging from well-structured Languedoc reds soaked with the warmth of the Mediterranean to the mouth-filling sweets of Monbazillac with a tinge of oceanic flavour.

"During our recent promotional road show in Europe, we were most encouraged by the positive response from both the French wineries and French trade and industry bodies to the above initiative." says Mr Steven Chwee, Project Manager of Wine For Asia 2006. Most of the wineries are upbeat about the Asian market and see such a dedicated pavilion as the best way for them to penetrate into the Asia markets.

Asia's vast potential is undeniable.  The key indicators have been the rising appreciation of wine and the rate of consumption of this elixir of health, epitome of wealth and one that exemplifies refinement.  The expected growth in a continent that continues to develop and define itself is exponential.    Wine For Asia 2006 is undoubtedly the ONLY exhibition of its kind right in the epicenter of it all.
