So long the bette noir of global aviation, Asia is now the powerhouse behind global airline capacity being just 2.4% behind pre-pandemic levels.

After barely moving for the last two months, global capacity has surged by 6.2% in May, with just six of the eighteen regions below May 2019 numbers.
