Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como is delighted to announce that the resort reopens its doors on 1 April 2023.

The charming five-star resort, with its private setting on the sunlit shores of the lake, is surrounded by natural beauty and ideal for those seeking a serene getaway or an active break. Guests can discover the allure of Lake Como through a wide array of relaxing or adrenaline-filled experiences, arranged by the resort’s Sports and Adventure team.

This season, Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como reaches new heights of luxurious living thanks to a brand-new 40-metre pool, one of the largest infinity floating pool in the world, designed by the international architectural practice Herzog & de Meuron. Spectacularly situated right on the lake and offering unobstructed views across the water, the pool’s sundeck is the perfect spot for basking on sunloungers or in cabanas from morning to sunset.

Enriching the pool experience, the new informal dining venue NAMI Cafe offers healthy and comfort food inspired by Asian cuisine with an international twist. Poolside al fresco lunches, delightful daytime snacks, refreshing aperitivo, freshly prepared sushi and home-made pastries are served under the shade of Villa Roccabruna from morning until sunset. Further enticing dining options include: CO.MO Bar & Bistrot, with its Italian contemporary menu, handmade pizzas and signature pre and after-dinner drinks; and L˜ARIA, serving refined Italian cuisine with Japanese influences, paired with stunning lakeside views.

The resort is also excited to open its remodelled Spa & Wellness oasis. The spacious facility boasts six treatment rooms including two private Spa Suites, a zen garden and a redesigned wet area overlooking the lake, with whirlpool, ice pool, saline bath experience showers, Finnish sauna and steam bath. Spa treatments include Mandarin Oriental signature therapies and new rituals from Team Dr Joseph, whose products are vegan and rich in biotechnological ingredients, and Swiss Perfection, with its facial skincare programme blending scientific innovation and cutting-edge expertise.

Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como aims to become more sustainable and environmentally friendly: 100% of the resort’s energy comes from renewable sources, and there’s no single-use plastic. The resort provides guests with electric vehicles, with or without drivers, and has eight recharging stations. This year, to enhance guests’ experience, Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como will also offer a dedicated shuttle service to the centre of Como using the first fully electric Volkswagen van, ID Buzz.
