Travel group Kuoni Tumlare has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Switzerland Tourism aimed at the development and worldwide distribution of eco-friendly products under the country’s ‘Swisstainable’ tourism initiative.

In a fast-paced and ever-changing world where new trends and customers preferences emerge, the partnership between Kuoni Tumlare and Switzerland Touri reflects a commitment to creating value for all partners and help them meet the needs of today and tomorrow.

This partnership is unique in that it provides an opportunity for travel agents and tour operators to fulfil the needs of travellers who care about people and the planet and are increasingly looking for solutions in the sustainable travel space. The collaboration with Switzerland Tourism is shaped around three key pillars:

– Building a large and engaged community of Swiss suppliers who support and stand behind the ‘Swisstainable’ movement. The service providers who join the Swisstainable programme will be labelled as green suppliers and featured as part of the Swisstainable product portfolio.

– Developing new, carbon friendly, ‘Swisstainable’ travel products for small groups with train and cycling, green incentives, green educational tours and many other eco-conscious travel products, offering a wide range of options to any type of traveller or need.

– Market the ‘Swisstainable’ travel products globally with the goal of creating awareness and ultimately help travel agents and tour operators meet the ever-increasing desire of customers for sustainable travel.
