Kerzner International Holdings Limited, owner of the One&Only Resorts and Atlantis Resort & Residences brands worldwide, has received the 2022 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA).
This award recognises the most engaged workplace cultures in the world.
After another year of unpredictability in the workplace, Gallup found that Kerzner International continued to engage and develop its people amid the disruption.
“Kerzner International now ranks among the most engaged workplaces in the world, which is testament to us being an industry leader, delivering on our engagement promise and putting people at the heart of our business strategy,” states Philippe Zuber, Chief Executive Officer, Kerzner International.
“This recognition is proof that we are challenging the status quo in order to transform our working environments around the world, and in turn, driving business results far beyond the competition. By connecting employee engagement to every aspect of our culture, we are giving our colleagues what they really want from their careers and lives.”
Kerzner International’s trailblazing engagement programme prioritises practices focusing on protecting colleague wellbeing, allowing employees to realise their remarkable potential within a compelling environment. Initiatives which contribute to Kerzner’s unique workplace culture include the One&Only brand’s service culture ‘We Create Joy’ and the Atlantis brand’s ‘Extraordinary – Larger Than Life’ service culture – both of which define colleagues’ purpose and set the tone for incredible guest experiences. Other key highlights include the organisation’s in-depth performance and goals structure, the newly-launched wellness programme, ‘Balance’, and Kerzner’s overarching ‘Vision 2025’ – the Company’s all-encompassing five-year business strategy.
The Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award was created to celebrate those who achieve exceptional performance by fostering a culture of engagement. The award honours thriving organisations that have attained world-class performance by making engagement a cornerstone of their business strategy.
Organisations that satisfy the minimum criteria are invited to apply for the award by submitting detailed evidence of their culture of performance, centered around pillars including strategy and leadership, performance and accountability, communication and knowledge management, and development and ongoing learning. A panel of Gallup judges then reviews and scores all applications.
