The Karl Lagerfeld Hotel at Grand Lisboa Palace had its' soft opening on December 3, with its 271 rooms and suites already available for bookings.
With the opening, two of the three hotels included in SJM Resorts’ first Cotai property will have already opened to the public.
The hotel tower is the first with its interior wholly designed by the late German fashion icon, including contemporary Portuguese restaurant Mesa– which has been open since June – its spa, and the hotel’s Book Lounge with more than 4,000 real books on displayinspired by Lagerfeld’s library at his photoshoot studio in Paris.
Lagerfeld passed away in 2019 with the hotel design said to have taken five years to complete. The hotel includes six different room categories designed by the former Channel designer, including 203 Grand Classic rooms.
The HK$39 billion Grand Lisboa Palace opened its doors to the public on July 30, 2021 with only 300 of the 1,350 rooms included in the Grand Lisboa Palace Macau Hotel available, plus some restaurants and event space.
