Marriott International has unveiled a new global campaign in memory of its late CEO and president Arne M Sorenson.

Sorenson passed away in February, aged 62, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Marriott announced on social media (March 16 2021) that it is organising a running, walking or wheeling campaign to honour Sorenson, who was an avid fan of running.

A statement said: “Arne Sorenson was always on the move. One of his favourite ways to discover a new place was to go for a run, often joined by local associates, to explore and connect with others. To honour our late president and CEO, we’re encouraging Marriott associates and the public to come together and celebrate Arne's life by doing something he loved."
