Airbnb, Inc announced last week that it expects to become a publicly-traded company during 2020.
The company has not clarified whether it has filed any IPO paperwork nor did it specify an exact date in 2020. An Airbnb spokesperson declined to comment when asked for additional details.
The company was last privately valued at US$31 billion in September 2017, and its IPO has been heavily anticipated by Wall Street.
According to other news sources Airbnb had revenue of over US$1 billion in the third quarter of 2018 and in November, former Amazon VP Dave Stephenson joined Airbnb feuling the market's hopes that the company was preparing to go public.
