Six Senses announced six new high class resorts, In 2015 the Six Sense Mont Blanc (
below) close to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in the French Alps will open its doors. It will only feature 32 exclusive suites. A year later the Six Senses Wuman (50 suites) will be inaugurated in Taitung in Taiwan.
Also in 2016 the opening of the Six Senses Cartagena in Colombia (100 rooms and suites) is planned. Furthermore Six Senses plans to open further resorts in Uluwatu/Bai with 120 rooms and a 6,000 square meter garden as well as a 129 room property in Ninghai near to the international airport in Ningbo in China and an exclusive property with 31 residences in Gammarth close to Tunis in Tunisia.
Rosewood, one of the best operators of luxury hotels and resorts worldwide announced the construction of two new properties in Cambodia and Thailand. Furthermore rosewood will take over the management of the legendary Parisian Grandhotel Crillon, which will re-open after two years of refurbishment work. The palais built in 1758 offers 147 rooms and suites.
In two years the Rosewood Phnom Penh in Cambodia will be inaugurated. The luxury hotel will arise in the upper 14 floors of the 188 meter high "Vattanac Capiotal Tower One" in the Cambodian capital. 148 rooms and suites, some of them with an amazing view at the Mekong river are planned as well as 31 serviced apartments. In 2017 the opening of the Rosewood in Bangkok is planned. The 33-storey building in the central business district of Thailand's capital will offer 146 rooms and suites. Large guest rooms with 64 square meter "Pool Sky Villas" and extra large terraces and small private pools are also planned.
St. Regis, Starwood Hotels' luxury brand, plans its first hotel in Turkey. The St. Regis Istanbul is developed by the Turkish Demsa group and will open during the first half of 2014. The St. Regis will have more than 118 rooms, thereof four suites, which will be designed individually from famous interior architects. The amazing president suit will comprise about 600 square meters.

Starwood currently operates nine hotels in the Turkey by its lifestyle brands, four in Istanbul, the Sheraton Istanbul Maslak Hotel, the Sheraton Istanbul Atakoy Hotel, the W Istanbul and the Le Méridien Istanbul Etiler. Outside the city, there is also the Sheraton Cesme Hotel Resort & Spa, the Sheraton Ankara Hotel & Convention Centre as well as the The Lugal, a hotel by the luxury Collection in Ankara.
A few months ago Starwood already entered the hotel market in Bursa with the openings of the Sheraton Bursa and the Aloft Bursa and established the successful brand Aloft in Turkey. The Turkish economy is booming, the gross domestic product doubled during the past ten years. In Istanbul impressing buildings such as the world's largest airport with six airstrips and an expected annual capacity of about 150 million passengers arise followed by the new Istanbul Financial Center and the gigantic Vialand with a theme park, an aqua park and a large shopping center.
