Marriott International's JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts is continuing to grow it's India portfolio with the opening of two new hotels – in Bengaluru and New Delhi –within weeks of each other.  These will be JW Marriott brand's fourth and fifth hotels in India, and 61st and 62nd properties worldwide.

"We are very excited to launch these two new, beautiful properties in India," said Mitzi Gaskins, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts Vice President & Global Brand Manager.  "India is a compelling and dynamic market and we look forward to continuing to celebrate the country's rich culture, history and flavors with our guests.  As our international portfolio continues to grow, we remain focused on delivering an undeniably authentic travel experience to guests with a distinctive style of approachable luxury."

JW Marriott Bengaluru (below right) opened its doors on September 12, redefining luxury for the modern business and leisure traveler.  Overlooking the plush 300-acre Cubbon Park, the five-star hotel boasts 297 rooms and suites, including one Presidential Suite, and features a collection of Indian artwork curated by Geetu Hinduja, director of The Fine Art Company, an art consultancy located in Mumbai. Guests are invited to indulge in six different dining options, including wine, antipasti and prohibition cocktails at Bar Uno; rustic Tuscan fare at Alba; authentic Indian cuisine at Spice Terrace; delectable baked goods and gourmet products at grab-and-go patisserie Bengaluru Baking Company (BBC).  Tired travelers are invited to relax and unwind in the luxury Spa by JW, offering six different treatment rooms, a heated outdoor pool, casual Pool Bar and cabanas, and state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga studio.  JW Marriott Bengaluru features more than 1,000 square meters (10,000 square feet) of indoor and outdoor event space.

The hotel also offers an enticing array of six restaurants and lounges, including the signature Japanese restaurant Akira Back; grab-and-go patisserie and retail shop Delhi Baking Company (DBC); K3, one of the largest restaurants in New Delhi, offering North Indian, Cantonese, and Tuscan cuisines; and the stunning JW Lounge, a casual space offering cocktails and coffee.  JW Marriott New Delhi also features the Quan Spa, offering signature spa treatments, a cutting edge fitness club, and an outdoor swimming pool.  Located within driving distance of prominent business hubs in Delhi and Gurgaon, the hotel includes one of the city's largest meeting and conference facilities, featuring eight separate meeting rooms and 2,323 square meters (25,000 square feet) of meeting space.

"JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts appeals to guests seeking a luxury experience that pairs elegance with approachability, crafted to reflect their own sophistication and desire to excel," said Rajeev Menon Marriott International's Area Vice President for South Asia & Australia. "The brand resonates with both our international and domestic guests, and we will continue to strive for excellence across our portfolio as India continues to play an important role in our growth strategy."

In 2002, JW Marriott opened its first hotel in India in Mumbai.  Since then, JW Marriott Mumbai has set the standard for contemporary luxury and warm hospitality in the region with its bespoke service and an enduring style philosophy. Today, JW Marriott Mumbai is considered a landmark in the charming seaside town of Juhu in North Mumbai, and is a favorite dining and late-night destination for the region's Bollywood stars.  In 2011, following the overwhelming success of Mumbai came JW Marriott Chandigarh followed promptly by JW Marriott Pune in March 2013.
