The founding International Steering Committee is pleased to announce the launch of the International Coastal Marine Tourism Society (ICMTS).
The objectives of the ICMTS are:
- To encourage and support the development of coastal and marine tourism as an area of academic enquiry, research and practice.
- To encourage sustainable, ethical, enlightened and wise use and management of coastal and marine resources and ecosystems for recreation and tourism.
- To build an international community of persons interested in coastal and marine tourism as an area of academic enquiry, research and practice.
- To encourage and support scholarly and educational opportunities and activities.
Any person with an interest in coastal and marine tourism may become a member by applying for admission to the ICMTS via the International Steering Committee (application forms are available on the society website).
We invite interested parties (including students, academics, practitioners, and institutions) to engage in the ICMTS via the website
www.coastalmarinetourism.org and via the Society Facebook page (accessed via the website).
