Launched this year, the combined phone and tablet is SD Concept's latest release, the Germany-based company specialises in tablets for hotels that shine a light for residents on local events and information.

The company's new phone tablet combines these abilities with a working phone.

Robert Bohl, sales director, said that the company's products are primarily available in English and German, although further languages are available as SD Concept works closely with a translation office.

“Paperless rooms are becoming the standard,” he said, adding that the adoption of this technology could help hotels reduce staff.

According to Bohl, the company currently had tablets in place in 120 hotels across Europe.

The software for the tablets is developed in-house and currently runs on the Android system. The tablets are made by Gigaset, also based in Germany.
