THE AMERICAS

Alexandre Gaudelet has been promoted to the position of Vice President, Food and Beverage, at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. A 33-year old Frenchman, he graduated from the Ecole Hotelière de Paris before starting his career at the Savoy in London and La Tour d'Argent in Paris. He was the Restaurant Director at Paris' Hotel Meurice (where the restaurant is rated Three Michelin Stars) when he was recruited by MGM Mirage in 2005.

Erich Steinbock has been appointed General Manager of New York's Carlyle, succeeding James McBride. Steinbock joins following thirteen years with Ritz-Carlton, most recently as General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis. Like the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis, the Carlyle is owned by Maritz Wolf.

Peter Roth has joined the Grand Hyatt Santiago as General Manager. He was most recently overseeing the Grand Hyatt Moscow Residences & Spa. Roth had previously served as Hotel Manager with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, the Four Seasons Mexico City, and the Four Seasons Berlin.

Ed Brea is taking over from Stephen Darling as General Manager of the Shangri-La Vancouver. For the past two years, Brea had been the General Manager of the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. Brea was previously the General Manager of the Shangri-La Cairns, after serving as Hotel Manager at the Shangri-La Singapore.

As for Cornell graduate Stephen Darling, he is leaving the Shangri-La Vancouver, a project to which he dedicated five years of his life, after spending five years running the successful Westin Grand Hotel, also in Vancouver. His goal is to take time off and develop his own hotel concept.

US Hotels has appointed Paul Hanley Chief Executive Officer. Hanley, a Cornell graduate, was formerly President and Chief Operating Officer of Regent International Hotels and had held top executive positions with Radisson Hotels International, Omni Hotels, Ramada Worldwide and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts.

Erik Dahlerbruch has joined the Sheraton Four Points LAX as General Manager. He was most recently overseeing the Pacific Edge Oceanfront Resort in Laguna Beach for Joie de Vivre Hospitality. He had previously served in sales and marketing positions for Westmont Hospitality in Miami, the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Hilton LAX.

Jean-Francois Gatti has moved to the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City as General Manager. He had previously served as General Manager for the InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco.

Laurens Zieren has been promoted to General Manager of the Hilton Chicago O'Hare International Airport. He had been the property's Hotel Manager since February 2008. He previously spent ten years with Conrad Hotels as General Manager of the Conrad Brussels and General Manager of the Conrad Dublin.

Franz Ferschke has postponed his retirement to take over as Vice President and General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman. He had previously served as opening General Manager for the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach.

Jade Resort Residences & Beach Club in Costa Rica has appointed Agnelo Fernandes President. He joins Jade from Canyon Ranch Miami Beach and is a former Director of Sales and Marketing for Sonesta Hotel and Suites.

Raul Salcido has taken over from long-time General Manager Ed Mady at the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco. Salcido, who joined Ritz-Carlton in 1993, was until now the General Manager of the Ritz-Carton Istanbul, after serving as Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Santiago. Mady recently left Ritz-Carlton to become the Managing Director of the New York Palace.

Craig Sacco has been named General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, Lake Tahoe. He was most recently with the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa, Jupiter as Director of Operations.  

Steve Benson has been promoted to General Manager at the Four Seasons Jackson Hole. He joined the company as Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Scottsdale in 2006. He had previously served in various roles for the St. Regis Aspen and the Phoenician.   
 
The Carlton Hotel in New York City has appointed Victor Freeman General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager for the Surrey Hotel and Affinia 50, both in New York City.

The Kitano New York has named Clement Carey General Manager. Previously, Carey oversaw hotel properties in Mount Kisco, Connecticut and at New York's LaGuardia Airport for Meyer-Jabara Hotels.

Stan Kaminski has moved to the W San Diego as General Manager. For the past two years, he had been the General Manager for the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa. He had previously served as Vice President of Food and Beverage for JC Resorts in San Diego for seven years and served eleven years with Hyatt Hotels.

Clyde Guinn has joined Wyndham Hotel Group as President of the Days Inn chain. For the past nine years, he had served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Stanford Hotels in San Francisco.

Steven Parker has joined the Millennium Biltmore in Los Angeles as General Manager, taking over from Vincent Piro, who has left the company. For the past fourteen years, Parker had been with InterContinental, most recently as General Manager of the InterContinental Harbor Court Baltimore. He had previously served as General Manager for the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin, the Hotel InterContinental Pudong in Shanghai and the Imperial InterContinental Taipei.

Douglas Dreher has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of The Hotel Group succeeding Edmond Lee, who founded the company in 1984. Lee will continue to serve as Chairman of the company. Dreher joined the group twenty years ago and has moved up the ladder thru Vice President of Operations to Executive Vice President to his most recent role as President.

Jeffrey Poirot has been named General Manager for the AKA Central Park. He previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sofitel New York and as Director of Group Sales at the New York Palace.   
 
Jenna Arin has been named General Manager for the AKA Times Square. She was most recently serving as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Algonquin Hotel.

Richard Kolinsky has been appointed General Manager for the Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites in Baltimore. He was most recently at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk as General Manager.

Ron Lamers has been appointed General Manager of the St. Regis Houston. He most recently oversaw the opening of the Resort at Singer Island in Florida. In Houston, he replaces Paul Nash, now the General Manager of the St. Regis New York.

Robert Nolan has transferred to the Four Seasons Silicon Valley as Hotel Manager. He has been with the company for thirteen years, most recently as Resort Manager at the Lodge at Koele.   Todd Yamaoka steps in to take over from Nolan at the Lodge from his most recent duties running the Rooms Division at the Four Seasons Austin.

David Bernand has moved over as Resort Manager to the Four Seasons Scottsdale. He has been with the company for the past ten years, most recently at the Four Seasons Washington, DC where he had been the Hotel Manager since May 2008.

The JW Marriott San Antonio, slated to open in January, has appointed Derek Ellis Resident Manager and Hotel Director. He was most recently with the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa in Tucson as Resident Manager and had previously opened the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa as Director of Room Operations.

Eva Hakova has been promoted to Director of Finance at the Four Seasons Seattle. She was most recently serving as Assistant Director of Finance at the Four Seasons Silicon Valley. She had previously spent nine years in the finance department at the Four Seasons Prague, ending her tenure as Assistant Director of Finance.

Duane Schroder has been appointed Director of Operations for the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa in Groton, Connecticut. For the past three years, he had been the General Manager of the Radisson Bloomfield Hills.

Robert Allen has been promoted to Regional Director of Culinary and Food and Beverage Operations for the Dorchester Collection, in charge of both the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Hotel Bel-Air. He was most recently serving as Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef for the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Adam Rosenbaum has moved to the Chaya Restaurant Group as Vice President of Operations. He was most recently overseeing Craft Los Angeles and had previously served as Director of Operations with the Patina Group.

Stacy Bowers steps in for Rosenbaum as General Manager of Craft Los Angeles. She was most recently overseeing Craft Dallas.

Claude Herscovici has joined Tavistock Restaurants in Los Angeles as Regional Director of Operations. For the past year, he had been at Ford's Filling Station in Culver City as General Manager. He had previously spent ten years with Chaya Restaurants.

Felix Mulero has returned to the InterContinental San Juan Resort & Casino to serve as Director of Food and Beverage. In 2004 he had served as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the resort. He was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage at the Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel & Casino.

Hilton Hotels has named Aaron Radelet Vice President, Global Communications and Public Relations. Radelet had held similar positions previously at Sprint Nextel, AOL Time Warner, and at Shandwick International.

Carla Dunn has been named Vice President, Global Sales, for Wyndham. She had joined the group last year as Area Director of Sales.

Holger Frehde has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at the Four Seasons Houston. He joined the hotel five years ago as Corporate Sales Manager and became Director of Sales in 2007.  

The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia has appointed Iman Butler Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel and the Ritz-Carlton Tyson's Corner.  

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has appointed Michele O'Malley Director of Sales and Marketing at the Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe. O'Malley most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Eldorado Hotel and Spa in Santa Fe.

The Hilton Bellevue has appointed Michelle Santiago Fuller Director of Sales and Marketing. Fuller had previously overseen sales and marketing for the Hotel Deca, the Sorrento and the Warwick, all in Seattle.

Melissa Olsen has moved to the W San Diego as Director of Sales and Marketing. For the past two years, she had been with the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego as Director of Sales.

Alice Land has been named Director of Sales and Marketing of the Mayfair Hotel & Spa in Coconut Grove. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Renaissance Ft. Lauderdale-Plantation Hotel.

Jennifer Williams has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Watercolor Inn and Resort in Florida. For the past nine years, she had been working for ResortQuest, most recently as Director of Sales and Marketing for ResortQuest Hilton Head. She had previously served in marketing and sales roles at ResortQuest Colorado and ResortQuest Steamboat.

Kelly Fogarty has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn in North Hollywood. She was most recently in Scottsdale as Director of Sales and Marketing for Xona Resort Suites. Her previous posts include Director of Sales and Marketing at the Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club in Redondo Beach, Director of Sales for the Sheraton Delfina in Santa Monica, and Director of Sales and Marketing at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

The Carlton Hotel in New York City has appointed Bonnie Somerstein Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Bryant Park Hotel.

Ronald Taylor has been named Regional Director of Sales for the Windsor Hospitality Group, to be based in Atlanta. He had previously held various regional and vice president positions with multi-property responsibilities in companies such as Wyndham, HEI Hospitality, Coral Hospitality, Lodgian and, most recently, Interstate Hotels, out of Pittsburgh.

The Blue in Doral has named Judith Garcia Director of Sales and Marketing. Most recently, she served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach Resort. Previously, Garcia served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Marco Polo Resort by Ramada and the Wyndham Bonaventure Resort & Spa.

Benchmark Hospitality has appointed Stephen Weber Director of Sales at the Downtown Conference Center in Manhattan. Weber previously held the title of Director of Sales at the Delamar Hotel in Greenwich, Connecticut. Prior to this, he served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center of Palisades, New York.

Jill Hare-Lewandowski has been appointed Director of Sales for the Eaglewood Resort & Spa. She was most recently the Director of Group Sales and Catering at the Sheraton Chicago Northwest.

The Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa has named Dave Warmington Director of Sales. He was most recently the Director of Special Events at the Raffles Canouan Resort. He had previously served in various roles at Half Moon, Rose Hall and Cap Juluca in Anguilla.

The Regent Palms Turks and Caicos has appointed Juan Gonzalez Director of Travel Industry Sales. Prior to joining the Regent Palms, Gonzalez spent nine years in management with Sol Melia Hotels & Resorts.  

Terri Gentry moves to Park City, Utah, as Director of Catering and Conference Services for the St. Regis Deer Crest. Her previous positions include Director of Catering for L'Auberge Del Mar, the Balboa Bay Club and the Royal Palms Hotel and Spa in Phoenix.

Lyndsay Picciano has been appointed Director of Catering at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. She joined Fairmont in 2002 as a Catering Coordinator, was promoted to Catering Sales Manager in 2004 and to Assistant Director of Catering in December 2006.

Chuck Sullivan has joined Hilton Hotels as Senior Vice President, Global Online Services. He was most recently with Chrysler Group where he was Head of Marketing – Delivery.

Andy Broderick has been named pre-opening Revenue Manager for the Viceroy Snowmass, slated for a December opening. Past revenue positions include Senior Revenue Manager for Vail Resorts and Director of Revenue for the Omni Los Angeles.

Michael Morrisette has joined Savore Catering in Los Angeles as Partner. He was most recently serving as General Manager for Cafe Del Rey in Marina del Rey. He had previously held the General Manager positions at Maple Drive in Beverly Hills, and Mélisse in Santa Monica.

Alex Chen moves up to take over for Robert Allen as Executive Chef for the Beverly Hills Hotel. He had joined the hotel in 2005 as Executive Sous Chef. He had previously served as Senior Sous Chef at the Four Seasons Chicago, and as Chef de Cuisine in Studio Café at the Four Seasons Toronto.

Flynt Payne has joined the Carmel Valley Ranch as Executive Chef, taking over from Anthony Keene. Payne was most recently Executive Chef with the Plumpjack Group in San Francisco. He had previously served as Executive Chef at Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas and Atwaters in Portland, Oregon.

Vincent Cachot has transferred to the InterContinental Cleveland as Executive Chef. He was most recently in the same position for the InterContinental Los Angeles. He had previously served as Executive Chef of the Sofitel San Francisco.

Mette Williams is the new Executive Chef at Shutters on the Beach, replacing Gregory Llewellyn, who will soon be relocating to Australia. Williams was most recently the Executive Sous Chef at Wolfgang Puck's CUT at the Beverly Wilshire. She originally joined Puck in 2001 as a Sous Chef at Spago in Beverly Hills.

Eric Cousin has been named Corporate Executive Chef for Norwegian Cruise Lines. He is a former Regional Executive Chef from Interstate Hotels, for whom he was based at the Sheraton National. Cousin is also a former Executive Chef from New York's Essex House.

Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada has named Paul Owens Executive Chef. He had previously served in the kitchens of the Bedford Lodge Hotel in Suffolk, Swinton Park in Yorkshire and Number 64 in Staffordshire.   
 
Toby Reivant has moved to Miami to join Costa Cruises as Corporate Dining Rooms and Service Manager. He was most recently serving as Restaurant Director at One&Only Palmilla.

Don Hart has moved over to JCT Kitchen and Bar in Atlanta as Director of Operations. He was most recently the General Manager for Concentrics Hospitality, also in Atlanta. He had previously spent eight years in Las Vegas, overseeing restaurants such as Fiamma Trattoria at the MGM Grand, Michael Mina's Seablue at the MGM Grand and Thomas Keller's Bouchon at the Venetian.

Michael Reginbogin has moved to Miami to take over Sushi Samba as Director of Operations. He was most recently overseeing operations for B.R. Guest Restaurants in Chicago and New York.

James Proctor has joined the Montage Laguna Beach as General Manager for The Loft. He was most recently Assistant General Manager for Charlie Palmer's in Costa Mesa.

The Landings St. Lucia has named Kimia Ghafari Spa Manager. She was previously overseeing Sudi's Spa & Salon in Toronto.

The Greenbrier has hired Patricia Jenkins as Director of Quality. She comes from Sea Island Resorts, where she worked in a similar capacity for the past five years, following a stint as Quality Director at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island.

EUROPE

Martin Armitstead has joined the Wyndham Hotel Group as Senior Vice President of Development for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He was previously with London-based DTZ Hospitality Group as Director and Head of Hospitality, EMEA.

Garrett Ronan is moving to London to take over as Vice President Operations for Harlequin Hotels and Resorts. For the past three years, he had been with the Beverly Hilton as Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously overseen food and beverage for the Boston Harbor Hotel and the Waldorf=Astoria.

Xavier Lablaude has been promoted to General Manager at the Hotel de La Cité in Carcassone, taking over from Jacques Hamburger who has retired. Lablaude has been with the hotel since 2001, joining as Director of Sales and Marketing, before taking on his most recent role of Executive Assistant Manager.

Henrik Muehle has been named Managing Director of the newly refurbished St. James Hotel and Club in London. For the past seven years, he served as General Manager of the Capital Hotel, also in London. Also departing the Capital is Michelin-starred Executive Chef Eric Chavot, who leaves the restaurant in Knightsbridge after more than a decade behind the stove.

The Rezidor Hotel Group has added Acting Chief Operating Officer for all brands to Jacques Dubois' current role as Chief Operating Officer for Park Inn and Country Inns & Suites. He will take over the additional responsibility for Radisson Blu and Regent from Thorsten Kirschke, now with Carlson Hotels. Dubois has been with Rezidor since 1995.

Claude Rath has been appointed General Manager at the Concorde St. Lazare in Paris. He was previously the General Manager of Le Méridien Singapore, and Director of Operations at Le Méridien Montparnasse.

Marco Capocci has joined the staff of the Baglioni Hotel London as Hotel Manager. He had previously been with the St Regis Grand Hotel Rome, where he held the position of Director of Food and Beverage.

Vincent Bergmann has joined UEFA (European Football Association) in Switzerland as Hospitality Manager. He was previously the General Manager of Le Prince Maurice.

With the departure last year of Capital owner David Levin's son Joe Levin who left to take up a role as Director of Food and Beverage at The Grove in Watford, now Christoph Thuilat has departed. Thuilat moves over as Food and Beverage Manager at the St. James Hotel and Club in London. He joins Henrik Muehle, his former boss at the Capital hotel.

Clive Doble has been named to the position of Director of Sales for Jumeirah in London. Prior to joining Jumeirah, he had been working with British Airways, most recently as Sales Manager in London.

William Drabble has joined the St. James Hotel and Club in London as Executive Chef of its newly named Seven Park Place restaurant. He left his most recent position at Aubergine after spending over ten years at the restaurant.

Three-Michelin-starred chef Heinz Beck is to take over the Italian restaurant Apsleys at The Lanesborough hotel in London. This will be Beck's first restaurant outside Italy. He has served as Chef/Proprietor at La Pergola in Rome for the past fifteen years.

Shaun Watling joins The Berkeley in Knightsbridge as Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Sous Chef at the Four Seasons Park Lane. He has also worked at Les Saveurs Restaurants and Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute.

Bernard Bloodworth joins Seaham Hall in South Durham as General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of McDonald Linden Hall in Northumberland.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Alasdair Junor has taken up the role of Chief Operating Officer for Six Senses Resorts & Spas. He relocates from his previous role as Managing Director for Six Senses in Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in Dubai. He had previously served as General Manager of Soneva Fushi in the Maldives and Evason Phuket & Six Senses Spa in Thailand.

John Johnston has been appointed President for Raffles Hotels & Resorts based in Singapore. His previous positions include handling the development efforts of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International in the Middle East, Chairman of Delta Hotels & Resorts and Executive Vice President, Europe, Middle East & Africa for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.

Christophe Chatron-Michaud is now in Manila with SM Hotels and Entertainment as Vice President of Development. For the past year, he had served as Director of Operations for the Jean Georges Restaurant Group in New York. He had previously overseen Japonais in Las Vegas and the restaurants of the Charlie Palmer Group, also in Las Vegas.
 
Pan Pacific Hotels has named Ian Ekers General Manager of the Parkroyal on Kitchener in Singapore. He was most recently the Resident Manager at the Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa in Kuala Lumpur. He previously served as Executive Assistant Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Sharm El Sheikh.

Mark Losi has been named General Manager of the Pan Pacific Orchard Singapore. Losi spent the last six years as General Manager of the Parkroyal Penang.

Dirk De Cuyper has been named General Manager of the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, scheduled to open in 2010. He had previously served as Pre-opening General Manager of the Conrad Shanghai, and as General Manager at the Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa on Hainan Island in China.

Andrew Whitaker is the General Manager of the Andara Phuket. He moves there from the Amara Sanctuary on Singapore's Sentosa Island.

Reinhold Johann has been appointed Area General Manager of the Banyan Tree Hangzhou and Angsana Hangzhou, slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2009 and in 2011, respectively. He first joined Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts in 2007 as General Manager of the Banyan Tree Seychelles. Previously, he served as General Manager for the Mövenpick Sana'a.

Michelle Caporicci has joined the Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou as General Manager. She has been with the company for thirteen years, most recently as Hotel Manager at the Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai

The InterContinental Shanghai Expo has named Michel Koopman General Manager, adding to his current role as Regional General Manager of InterContinental Hotels Group in Shanghai. His most recent role was as General Manager of the InterContinental Shanghai Pudong.

Stephen Alexander has been appointed General Manager of the Regal Jinfeng Hotel in Shanghai. For the past three years, he had overseen the Howard Johnson Plaza Shanghai.

Mugi Harjo has been named General Manager for the Swiss-Belhotel Kendari. He was most recently the General Manager of Sahid Imara Hotel Palembang in Indonesia.

The InterContinetal Hotel Group has appointed Anthony Hezlewood General Manager of the InterContinental Shenyang and the Holiday Inn City Centre Shenyang. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager of the InterContinental Qingdao.

Terry Manns has been named General Manager of the Park Plaza Beijing Science Park. He was most recently overseeing the Radisson Hotel Pudong Century Park in Shanghai for the past four years.

Henk Meyknecht has been appointed Area General Manager–China of Marco Polo Group, as well as General Manager of the Marco Polo Parkside, Beijing. He was most recently in charge of the opening of the Marco Polo Wuhan after opening the Marco Polo Shenzhen. He had previously served as General Manager of the Omni Saigon Hotel in Vietnam.

The Yangpu Holding Jianguo Hotel has appointed Katherine Xiong General Manager. She was previously the Deputy General Manager of the Capital Hotel, an affiliate of Meritus Mandarin Singapore.

Bahram Sepahi has been named Regional Vice President and General Manager at the Four Seasons Guangzhou, slated to open next summer. He was most recently the Regional Vice President and General Manager of the Four Seasons Golf Club, Dubai. He had previously served as Hotel Manager of the Four Seasons Washington, DC, and General Manager of the Four Seasons Riyadh.  
 
Rudolf van Dijk has been named General Manager at the Four Seasons Hangzhou at West Lake. For the past two years, he had been the Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Singapore after serving in a similar capacity at the Four Seasons Bangkok and the Four Seasons Shanghai.

Yoland Perras has been appointed General Manager of the Regal Hong Kong. Previously, Perras was with Kempinski for eight years as General Manager of the Kempinski Shenyang and was subsequently assigned as pre-opening and opening General Manager of the Kempinski Xi'an.

Brett Wilson has been appointed General Manager of the new Holiday Inn Malé, in the Maldives. He was previously the General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Queenstown.
 
Mark Losi has been appointed General Manager of the Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore. He was most recently with the Parkroyal Penang, where he spent six years as General Manager.

John Girard has been named General Manager of the Regal Kowloon Hotel and appointed to the role of Vice President - Development for Regal. He had previously spent eighteen years with Marco Polo Hotels, during which he held the positions of General Manager of the Hong Kong Hotel, Vice President, Marketing & Operations and Area Director for Marco Polo's three Hong Kong properties.

Danny Lingham has been named General Manager of the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok slated to open late October. His last appointment was with the President Park Executive Serviced Apartments in Bangkok.

Pan Pacific Hotels has appointed François Sigrist General Manager of the Parkroyal Penang, Malaysia. He was previously the General Manager at the Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa in Langkawi.

Sinan Yilmaz has moved as General Manager to the Edsa Shangri-La Manila. He was most recently the Resident Manager at the Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa. Previously he had served as Executive Assistant Manager at the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Muscat.

Christopher Chia has moved as General Manager of the Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing. He was most recently the General Manager of the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Manila. Previously, he had served as General Manager at the Traders Hotel, Beijing.

Karina Osman has been appointed General Manager of the Swiss-Belhotel Ambon, Indonesia. She was most recently the General Manager of the Bvilla+Spa, Bali.

Chris Archer has become the new Resort Manager at the Sonaisali Island Resort in Fiji. Archer was previously the Hotel Manager at the Marque Hotel in Sydney.

Philippe Larrieu takes the position of Hotel Manager for the Four Seasons Jakarta. He was most recently at the Four Seasons Silicon Valley as Director of Food of Beverage. He had previously served as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage for the Four Seasons Hualalai and Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Great Exuma at Emerald Bay, before taking a 30-month hiatus from Four Seasons and working as Director of Food and Beverage at Miami's Delano.

Ross Miles-Cadman has moved to the Langham Shanghai as Executive Assistant Manager. He was most recently in the same role for the Langham Hong Kong.

Vincent Billiard has been promoted to Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage for the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta. He was most recently the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Ritz-Carlton New York Battery Park. He had previously served in food and beverage positions for the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, the Ritz-Carlton Tyson's Corner, and the Ritz-Carlton Dearborn.

Stéphane Duvacher has been appointed Food and Beverage Director at the Indigo Pearl, Phuket. Duvacher had been Executive Chef at a number of hotels including the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza in Muscat, the Baguio Country Club in the Philippines and the Oasis Beach Hotel & Towers.

Suzette Deveau has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore. She was previously the Area Director of Sales and Marketing for InterContinental in Indonesia and Malaysia. Deveau is also a former Director of Sales and Marketing for Rosewood Hotels, the Four Seasons Shanghai and Ritz-Carlton Hotels.

Helen Radic is the new Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Circular Quay. She was previously the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sofitel Hotel on the Gold Coast.

Jeff Wang has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the InterContinental Foshan, which is scheduled to open at the end of this year. He was most recently the Director of Sales for the Shangri-La Chengdu.

The InterContinental Shanghai Expo has appointed Jenny Soo Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently in the same position at the Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai.

Regina Lourenco has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing of Le Royal Méridien Shanghai. Since 2007, she had served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Grand Hyatt Beijing.

The Holiday Inn Malé, Maldives has appointed Nabeel Abdulla Director of Sales and Marketing. Abdulla was most recently a Sales and Marketing Manager at the Huvafen Fushi.

Akihiro Ichikawa has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Four Seasons Hangzhou at West Lake. He was most recently based in the Tokyo Worldwide Sales Office with Four Seasons and had previously served as Director of Marketing at the Four Seasons Chinzan-so and Director of Marketing at the Okura Garden Hotel, Shanghai.

The New World Mayfair Hotel Shanghai has appointed Jessica Lu as Director of Sales and Marketing. She had previously served in sales and marketing roles for the Crowne Plaza Fudan Shanghai and with the Pudong Shangri-La Hotel Shanghai.

Doris Li has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at the Harbour Plaza Hong Kong. She was most recently serving as Director of Sales-Travel Trade for the hotel.

Bhumibhat Kunnarat has joined Bandara Hotels & Resorts as Director of Sales - MICE & Leisure. Kunnarat was most recently the Assistant Director of Sales - MICE & Leisure at the Swissôtel Le Concorde Bangkok.

Steven Grande has joined the Strand in Myanmar as Executive Chef. He was most recently with Kimpton at the Epic Hotel in Miami as Chef de Cuisine. He had previously served in the kitchens for the Setai Miami, the Lark Creek Inn, and the Conrad Indianapolis.

The InterContinental Hong Kong has appointed Graham Burst Executive Chef.  He had previously served as Executive Chef at the Excelsior Hotel in Hong Kong, the Waldorf Le Méridien Hotel, Aldwych and the Ritz London.

Konstantin Elser has joined the team at the Mövenpick Saigon as Executive Chef. He had previously served in the kitchens of the Mövenpick Zurich Airport, followed by a stint at the InterContinental Hyde Park in London.

Floris Smith has returned as Executive Chef at the Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat. He had previously served as Head Chef for the lodge in 2001 then returned again in 2004. In between stints, he had served as Head Chef of the Hartford House in Mooi River and as Executive Chef at the Hotel Izulu in Ballito.

The Kudat Riviera in Borneo has appointed Davy Minten Executive Chef. He had previously launched Sjiek Kookpunt VOF in Maastricht and Cucina Mosae 100% Gusto BV. Former kitchen stints include the one Michelin-starred Restaurant der Bloasbalg, the one Michelin-starred Restaurant Chateau Neercanne in Maastricht and the one Michelin-starred Chateau St. Gerlach.

The Hilton Kuala Lumpur has appointed Chandra Mohan Arunasalam Chef de Cuisine for Studio. He was most recently with the Peninsula Chicago as Sous Chef for Avenues Restaurant.

Christian Poda has been promoted to Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa. He was most recently the Assistant Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Shanghai. His previous rooms experience includes stints at the Four Seasons Berlin, and the Four Seasons San Francisco.

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

Serge Zaalof has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Atlantis, The Palms. He was most recently the Chief Executive of wasl Hospitality of Dubai. Prior to that role, he spent ten years with the Jumeirah Group.

Martin Kleinmann has been named General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Istanbul, replacing Raul Salcido. For the past nine months, he had served as General Manager for the Nile Hotel Cairo (soon to be renamed the Ritz-Carlton Cairo). His successor is Jeffrey Seward who has been with Ritz-Carlton since 1991.

Livio Faverio takes on his new position of General Manager at the Four Seasons Amman.  He was most recently the Opening Hotel Manager of the Four Seasons Istanbul at the Bosphorus.

Germain Gallardo has moved as General Manager of the Fairmont Heliopolis Cairo. He was most recently the Regional Director Food and Beverage Europe, Middle East and Africa for Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. He had previously served as Hotel Manager at the Fairmont Mayakoba.

Yves Montel has joined the Residence on Zanzibar as General Manager. For the past four years, he had been overseeing the Residence Mauritius as Resident Manager. He had previously served as Director of Operations for the Hilton Bucharest, the Hilton Athens and the Hilton Mauritius.

Matthew Vandegrift has been promoted to Resort Manager for the Four Seasons Seychelles. For the past two years, he had been at the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa as Director of Rooms. He had previously served as Front Office Manager at the Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara and Assistant Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Las Vegas.  

Olivier Heuchenne has moved over as General Manager to the Address Dubai Mall. He was most recently overseeing the Palace, the Old Town also in Dubai.

Stephan Kapek has joined the Traders Hotel Qaryat Al Beri in Abu Dhabi as Hotel Manager. He had previously been with the Shangri-La Beijing as Resident Manager and as Executive Assistant Manager for Food and Beverage at the Shangri-La Mactan Island Resort in Cebu, Philippines.

Fabrice Collot has been promoted to Hotel Manager at the Banyan Tree Al Areen, Bahrain. He joined the resort in 2007 in the position of Director of Food and Beverage and was promoted to Executive Assistant Manager in 2008.

Cédric Gaillard has joined the Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi as Executive Assistant Manager. Gaillard was previously the Executive Assistant Manager at the Crowne Plaza Muscat and Director of Food and Beverage at the Crowne Plaza Dubai.

Tolga Sezer Lacin has been promoted by Starwood to Complex Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage for Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina and the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina, both in Dubai. Lacin was previously the Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage, at the Westin Shanghai.

The Al Murooj Rotana Dubai has named Shashi Nair Area Director of Finance. He was most recently the Area Director of Finance for the Al Bustan Rotana.

Peter Drescher has been named Vice President Food and Beverage Middle East and Asia for Mövenpick. He had previously served as Executive Chef for the Ritz-Carlton Doha, the Royal Mirage Dubai, the Oberoi Hotel Mumbai and the Shangri-La Singapore.

Ayman Gharib has joined the Raffles Dubai as Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage. He had previously served in food and beverage roles for the Address Dubai Mall Hotel and the Ritz-Carlton Sharq Village and Spa.

Hilton Hotels has appointed Victor Louis as the company's new Regional Director of Sales for the Arabian Peninsula and Indian Ocean. He was most recently at the Hilton Fujairah Resort where he was the General Manager and where he is replaced by Remco Werkhoven.

The JW Marriott Dubai has appointed Damien Chorley Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Sous Chef at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane in London. 
                 
Lloyd Cremer has been promoted at the Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi to Executive Chef. He was most recently the Assistant Executive Chef for the hotel. He had previously served in the kitchens for the Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda and the Fairmont Towers, Heliopolis Cairo and was head chef at Gravetye Manor in West Sussex.

Oliver Bruns has transferred as Director of Rooms to the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh. He was most recently in the same position for the Four Seasons Great Exuma. He had previously served as Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Amman.
