THE AMERICASThe Dorchester Collection has promoted Alberto del Hoyo to Regional Director for West Coast USA. He will continue his eleven-year tenure as General Manager of the Beverly Hills Hotel but will also supervise the Hotel Bel-Air and any new potential developments for the group in the region. Del Hoyo is a former General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Millennia Singapore and the Beverly Wilshire.
Timothy Lee has joined the Hotel Bel-Air as General Manager. Lee was most recently at the Kahala Hotel & Resort where he had been the Resort Manager since 2006. Previously, he spent six years at the Beverly Hills Hotel as Resident Manager, working under Alberto Del Hoyo. He also worked under Del Hoyo at the Beverly Wilshire.
At the Greenbrier resort, Michael Gordon, who had joined the property in February 2007 as General Manager, has been promoted to President and Managing Director. Prior to joining the Greenbrier, Gordon had spent seven years with Ritz-Carlton, ending as Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua.
Adriaan Radder has joined Kerzner as General Manager of the One&Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas. For the past five years, he had been with Ritz-Carlton most recently as Area Vice President and General Manager for the Ritz-Carlton Washington D.C.
The Hyatt Regency Chicago has named John Schafer Vice President and Managing Director. He has been with Hyatt for twenty nine years, most recently as General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Denver. In Chicago, he takes the post left vacant by Jerry Gibson when he joined Hilton in the fall as Area Vice President for Hawaii.
Darren Law has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of North Island Development, developers of Palmera de Cabarete in the Dominican Republic, slated to open in 2011. Most recently, he was the Managing Director of the Hartling Group in Turks and Caicos. Previously, he was the General Manager for both the Conrad Cairo and the Conrad Sharm el Sheikh Resort.
Peter Kacheris has been named Managing Director for the Waldorf=Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. He was most recently the General Manager of the JW Marriott Grand Lakes in Orlando. He had previously served as Cluster General Manager for the JW Marriott Lenox in Atlanta and Hotel Manager for the Orlando World Center Marriott.
Jim McPartlin will be rejoining Starwood as General Manager of the W Hollywood & Residences. For the past two years, he has been with André Balazs Properties, as Senior Vice President of Operations. He had previously served as General Manager of the Gramercy Park Hotel, the W Times Square and the W San Francisco.
Doug Gehret has been named General Manager of the soon-to-be 1,400-room Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. He was most recently the General Manager of the Hilton Austin, following stints at the Waldorf=Astoria (where he was the Director of Rooms) and at the Hilton at Short Hills.
Steve Cowan has been appointed General Manager of the Hilton Washington D.C. He was most recently the General Manager of sister properties the Doubletree Crystal City and the Embassy Suites Crystal City.
Lloyd Nathan has been named to lead the newly formed MGM Mirage Global Gaming Development as President. He joined the company in 2002 and most recently served as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of MGM Mirage International, based in Hong Kong.
Christopher Calabrese has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa and the Casa Magna Marriott Cancun Resort. He was most recently "Director General" for both properties.
John Curnow has returned to the Sheraton Steamboat as General Manager, replacing recently retired Chuck Porter. Curnow previously served at the resort as Director of Sales and Marketing. He also served in sales and marketing positions for the St. Regis Aspen and the Beaver Run Resort. Most recently, Curnow was the General Manager of the Sky Hotel in Aspen.
Corey Enloe returns to the Sky Hotel to take over from Curnow as General Manager. Enloe had previously served as Property Controller at the Sky and Assistant Controller, Property Controller and Mountain States City Controller for Kimpton Hotels and the Hotel Monaco in Salt Lake City.
Stan Turner has been named General Manager of the Hilton Asheville, expected to open fall of 2009. He had previously served for seven years as General Manager of the Hilton Singer Island.
Joie de Vivre has named Tina Harlow General Manager of the Ventana Inn in Big Sur where she takes over from Jonathan Farrington. Harlow was most recently the General Manager at the Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, and Regional Director with the Grand Heritage Hotel Group. Additionally, she previously served as General Manager of the Lodge at Koele.
Ryan Gullion has moved over as General Manager of the Hotel Sorella, in Houston. He was most recently the General Manager of the Lancaster, also in Houston.
The Dow Hotel Company has promoted Michael Pitstick and Steven Falciani to the newly created positions of Regional Vice President of Operations. Pitstick was promoted from his most recent position as General Manager of the Bellevue Hilton and Falciani was promoted from General Manager and Regional Director of the Marriott Suites Anaheim.
Heritage Hotel Management has promoted Jeff Shearer to Chief Operating Officer. He was previously the Chief Development Officer for the company.
Dani Stern has been named General Manager of the Westin Westminster in Colorado. He was most recently overseeing the JW Marriott Denver at Cherry Creek. (Both properties are managed by Denver-based Sage Hospitality Resources) Stern had previously served as General Manager of the Wigwam in Phoenix and the Westin Tabor Center in Denver.
Grant Dipman is the General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown in Washington D.C. Previous stints with Ritz-Carlton included the position of Director of Food and Beverage at the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia.
Scott Snofsky has been named General Manager of the Hyatt Place Hotel Austin Arboretum. He was most recently with the Interstate Hotels & Resorts-managed Ann Arbor Marriott at Eagle Crest Resort.
Mark Mitchell has been appointed General Manager of the Hyatt Place Hotel Grand Prairie. He had most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Quartz Mountain Resort, located in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma.
Angie Schade was recently appointed General Manager at the Hyatt Place Houston Greenspoint. She was formerly the General Manager of the Courtyard Fort Worth West Lands End and the Director of Sales of the Residence Inn Houston Medical Center.
James Hill is the new General Manager of the Hyatt Place San Antonio International Airport. He was most recently with InterContinental Hotels Group serving as Area Manager.
Maurizio Bonivento is the General Manager of the Parker Méridien in New York, replacing David Cohen. Bonivento was most recently the General Manager of the Sheraton Stamford and previously the General Manager of the Danieli in Venice.
The Wintergreen Resort in Virginia has named Hank Thiess General Manager. He was most recently President and General Manager of the Durango Mountain Resort.
InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Jim Abrahamson President of its Americas region taking over from Richard Solomons, Interim President of the Americas and Finance Director for the group. Abrahamson joins IHG from Global Hyatt Corporation, where he served as Head of Development, The Americas. He had previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Baymont Inns and Woodfield Suites and Senior Vice President for Hilton Hotels.
Martin Leclerc has transferred to the Fairmont Empress in Vancouver as General Manager. For the past two years, he had held the position of Hotel Manager for the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel.
Mark Fallon has been appointed General Manager of the Boston Logan Airport Hotel. He was most recently serving with the Pyramid Hotel Group as Area Managing Director and General Manager of the Hilton Stamford Hotel and Executive Meeting Center.
Mark Fischer has moved to Atlanta to take over as General Manager at the soon-to-open Hotel Palomar. For the past five years, he has been with Kimpton at the Onyx Hotel in Boston as General Manager and in various rooms management positions at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge.
Tony Hinterstoisser will be the opening General Manager of the New York ANdAZ Wall Street. A ten-year Hyatt veteran, he previously was the Executive Assistant Manager of the Park Hyatt Zurich, following stints at the Park Hyatt Tokyo, the Grand Hyatt Beijing and the Grand Hyatt Berlin.
Alex Novo is the opening General Manager of the Sonesta Sole Hotel in Sunny Isles. For the past seven years, Novo had been with the Loews Regency, most recently as Executive Assistant Manager.
John Flannigan has been promoted to President of the JRK Hotel Group. He was most recently the General Manager at JRK's own Hotel Roger Williams in New York. Prior to joining JRK, Flannigan was the General Manager of the Hotel Giraffe in New York and spent four years with Wyndham where he started his career in sales and later served in food and beverage.
Rajiv Malhotra returns as Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Las Vegas. He held this same position until he took on his most recent post as Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Great Exuma.
Jeff Dziak has been promoted to Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager Rooms for the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island after serving for three years as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage for the resort.
Marcus Nicolaidis has joined the House of Blues in West Hollywood as Director of Operations. For the past year, he had been the Food and Beverage Director for the Custom Hotel and Pali House, also in Los Angeles.
Hospitality Ventures has named Andrew Bou Vice President of Accounting and Finance. He was most recently the Director of Finance, Franchise and Owner Relations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Atlanta-based Hotel Equities has named Carlos Melgar Corporate Controller. For the past six years, he had served as Senior Vice President, Controller and Asset Management for Premier Hotel Corporation. Previously, he worked as Senior Analyst for Six Continents Hotels. Before that, he spent two years as Senior Analyst with the southeast regional office of Choice International.
Melissa Fitzgerald has transferred as Controller to the Loews Coronado Bay Resort. For the past two years, she had been in the same position at the Madison (now a Loews Hotel) in Washington D.C. Her previous Loews experience includes serving as Controller for the Loews New Orleans and the Loews House of Blues Hotel in Chicago.
Dant Hirsch has been promoted at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota to Executive Assistant Manager Rooms and Residences. He joined the resort last year as Director of Residences. Previously, he was with the Tigh-Na Mara Seaside Spa Resort in British Columbia for three years, starting out as Assistant General Manager before being promoted to General Manager.
Jérome Pincepoche has joined the InterContinental Miami as Executive Assistant Manager. For the past two years, he had been the Operations Manager for the Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur. He had previously served in food and beverage roles for the Crowne Plaza Dubai and the InterContinental Al Ain.
Roy Buitenkamp has been promoted to Director of Food and Beverage for the St. Regis New York. He joined the hotel last year as opening Restaurant Manager for Alain Ducasse's Adour. He had previously served in food and beverage roles for the Waldorf=Astoria and Le Méridien Hotel Sharm el Sheikh.
Willie Valerio has joined the Warwick Melrose Dallas as Director of Food and Beverage. Most recently, he was with Wyndham Worldwide Hotels and Resorts as Corporate Director of the Food and Beverage Task Force.
Simon Fricker is moving to Las Vegas to open the new Mandarin Oriental as Director of Food and Beverage. For the past two years, he was in New York, running the Gramercy Park Hotel as Hotel Manager. His previous experience includes overseeing food and beverage for the Peninsula New York and the Baur au Lac in Zurich.
Timothy Gustie has been named Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara, taking over from Eric Vievard. Gustie was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage at the Beverly Wilshire after spending four years with the Four Seasons Maui, moving up to the position of Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously held food and beverage director positions with Le Mérigot Santa Monica, the Loews Santa Monica and the (former) Ritz-Carlton Kansas City.
Marc Dorfman has been promoted to the position of Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Toronto. He joined the hotel in 1999 as a Catering Manager, moving up the ranks to his most recent position as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.
The St. Regis Atlanta, slated to open in March, has named Megan Gray Director of Food and Beverage. She was most recently in the same position at the St. Regis New York.
Steven Rauscher has joined the Trump International Beach Resort as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently with the West Paces Hotel Group and served in the role of Director of Food and Beverage for the Carefree Resort and Villas and General Manager of Casa Madrona. Prior to that, Rauscher worked with Ritz-Carlton for ten years.
Shawn German has been named Regional Director of Human Resources for all three Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando. He has joined from the Sea Island Company where he served as Director of Human Resources. He had previously served as Area Director of Human Resources for Starwood, based in Denver.
Carlson Hotels Worldwide appoints Stephanie Beyer Vice President of Human Resources. She was most recently with sister company Carlson Wagonlit Travel as Senior Director of Human Resources, Traveler and Transaction Services.
Adriana Garay has transferred to the St. Regis Atlanta as Director of Human Resources. She was most recently in the same role for the St. Regis Fort Lauderdale.
Victoria Osenton has been promoted at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle to Director of Human Resources. For the past year, she had been the Assistant Director of Human Resources. Osenton had been transferred to Turnberry Isle from London's Savoy when Fairmont decided to close the hotel for extensive renovations.
At Four Seasons, Barbara Talbott retires as Executive Vice President Marketing. Her successor is twenty-year Four Seasons veteran Susan Helstab, who moves up from the position of Head of Marketing Communications. Helstab originally joined Four Seasons from McCann Erickson.
Hilton Hotels has named Ellen Gonda Senior Vice President, Global Communications and Public Relations, based in Beverly Hills. Gonda joins Hilton from global private equity firm, the Carlyle Group, where she was the Director of Communications for the Americas.
Sofitel North America has given David Ryan the new title of Regional Vice President Sales, Pricing, Revenue Management and Distribution. He was most recently the Corporate Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management for the company. He had previously served as Director of Marketing for the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, and Director of Sales and Marketing for the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch.
Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts has named Patricia Beaudoux Regional Director of Sales, Americas. She was most recently the Director of Group Sales, America, for the Preferred Hotel Group.
Shelly Irrgang has been named Vice President of Sales for Radisson Hotels & Resorts, the Americas. She was most recently Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Regent Hotels & Resorts and Carlson Managed Hotels & Resorts.
Iman Butler has transferred to the Ritz-Carlton Dearborn as Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently in the same position for the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. He had previously overseen sales and marketing for the Ritz-Carlton Tyson's Corner and the Loews L'Enfant Plaza.
Greg Velasquez has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Joule – Luxury Collection in Dallas. He comes form the US Grant, also a Starwood Luxury Collection hotel, in San Diego. At Joule, he takes the spot left vacant when opening Director of Sales and Marketing Shirley Dunn-Hanks was promoted to General Manager in September.
Jeff Poirot has moved to the Sofitel New York as Director of Sales and Marketing, replacing Jennifer Tsonas. For the past six years, he had been at the New York Palace, most recently as Director of Group Sales. He previously spent four years in sales at the Plaza.
Philippe Parodi has joined the Setai South Beach as Director of Sales and Marketing. For the past two years, he had been in the same position for the Regent Bal Harbour. Previously, Parodi had served as Regional Director of Marketing for the Morgans Hotel Group Miami and Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hotel Martinez in Cannes.
Stanford Hotels, based in San Francisco have appointed Linda Simpson Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Simpson most recently served as Managing Partner for SimpsonBrown.
The Westin Boston Waterfront has named Greg Clark Director of Sales and Marketing. He most recently held the same position at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers.
Heidi Nowak has transferred as Director of Sales and Marketing to the Ritz-Carlton Charlotte, slated to open fall 2009. She was most recently in the same position at the Ritz-Carlton Dearborn and previously the Director of Sales for the Ritz-Carlton Cleveland.
The Westin Galleria Dallas has promoted Andrea Sorensen to Director of Sales and Marketing. She started with the hotel in 2000 and her most recent role was Director of Catering and Convention Services.
Kelly Knowlen has been promoted at the Hilton Walt Disney World Resort Orlando from Director of Sales to Director of Sales and Marketing. In addition, Donald Luteran has been promoted at the resort to Director of Group Sales from his most recent position as Assistant Director of Sales.
The Blackstone, a Renaissance Hotel, in Chicago has appointed Michael Lyman Director of Marketing and Revenue Strategy. He was most recently the Director of Sales, Marketing and Event Management for the JW Marriott Grand Rapids.
Tom Norwalk has been promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer at the Seattle Convention and Visitors Bureau, taking over from Don Welsh. Norwalk previously served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Bureau, a position he had held since 2005. Previously, Norwalk spent twenty years in sales and marketing positions with Four Seasons.
Michael Moran has joined the Carmel Valley Ranch as Director of Sales and Marketing. For the past three years, he had overseen sales and marketing for the resorts at Yosemite National Park for Delaware North Parks and Resorts.
Jonathan Farrington returns to his previous position with Delaware North Parks and Resorts to take over for Moran. Farrington was previously the Regional Director of Sales for the resorts at Yosemite National Park before moving into the General Manager position for the Stanford Park Hotel and, most recently, the Ventana Big Sur.
The Westin Galleria Dallas has named Courtney Fields Director of Group Sales. She had previously served in sales positions for Le Méridien Dallas, the Westin Buckhead, and the Mandarin Oriental Washington D.C.
William Wiest has transferred to the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel as Director of Group Sales. He was most recently serving in the same position in pre-opening for the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage. He had previously overseen group sales for the (former) Ritz-Carlton Huntington and the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua.
Laura Pugh has moved to Aspen to take over as Director of Group Sales at the St. Regis. For the past three years, she had been at the Westin Bellevue in Washington as a Senior Sales Manager. Pugh, a Cornell graduate, was previously with Kimpton in San Francisco for six years in various sales roles at the Hotel Serrano, the Hotel Monaco and the Prescott.
Kathie Morgan has been selected for the Director of Sales role at the Hyatt Place Hotel Austin Arboretum. Morgan was most recently with the Hilton Austin Airport.
Tracy Gleeson has been appointed Director of Sales of the Hyatt Place Hotel Grand Prairie. She was most recently with the Marriott Dallas/ Fort Worth Hotel & Golf Club.
Gina Mirabella has been appointed Director of Sales at the Hyatt Place San Antonio International Airport. Mirabella was most recently a Sales Manager with the Hampton Inn San Antonio Downtown.
Angela Blackstock has been named Director of Sales of the Millenium Harvest House Boulder. Blackstock joined the hotel in 2003 as Government and Corporate Sales Manager and was promoted to Director of Group Sales the following year.
Interstate Hotels & Resorts has hired Tommy Yates into the position of Area Director of Sales, overseeing four Texas Hyatt Place properties. Yates recently served as Business Travel Sales Manager with the Sheraton Suites Market Center Dallas.
Jonathan Elkins has joined the Hyatt Place Houston Greenspoint as Director of Sales. Elkins was most recently serving as a Sales Manager with the Hilton Garden Inn Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Lynn Messman has been named Senior Director of Sales for Country Inns & Suites by Carlson. She was most recently Senior Director of Revenue Development for Country Inns & Suites by Carlson and Radisson Hotels & Resorts.
Philip d'Antoni has joined the Trump International Hotel & Tower New York as Director of Entertainment Sales, based in Los Angeles. He was most recently serving as Group Sales Manager for the Hotel Palomar in Los Angeles.
Douglas Hoagland is named Director of Catering and Conference Services for Terranea in Rancho Palos Verdes. For the past year, he had served as Director of Catering for the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Ali Kayhan steps in to take over for Douglas Hoagland as Director of Catering for the Beverly Hills Hotel. Kayhan was most recently in the same position for the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica. He had previously served in catering roles for the New York Palace and the Plaza.
Rebecca Posternak takes over from Kayhan at the Fairmont Miramar as Director of Catering. She had previously overseen catering and special events for the Viceroy Santa Monica and the Mondrian.
Kristin Tanner has moved to Miami to join the Mandarin Oriental as Director of Catering and Conference Management. For the past year, she had been with the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grand Lakes as a Meetings and Special Events Senior Manager.
Terri Gentry has joined L'Auberge Del Mar as Director of Catering. She had previously overseen catering for the Balboa Bay Club & Resort, the Royal Palms Hotel & Spa and the Phoenician.
The Umstead Hotel and Spa in North Carolina has appointed Carrie Cassidy Director of Catering and Conference Services. She was most recently overseeing catering and conference services at the Sea Island Resorts properties – The Cloister and The Lodge.
Kai Lermen has joined the Peninsula Chicago as Executive Chef, taking over from Terry Crandall who is transferring to Shanghai to open the new Peninsula in the fall. Lermen was most recently with Redstone American Grill as Corporate Executive Chef. Previously, he spent seven years with Ritz-Carlton as Executive Chef at the Ritz-Carlton Osaka, the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach, and the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia.
The Loews Annapolis has named Olivier Senoussaoui Executive Chef. Previously, Senoussaoui was the Executive Sous Chef at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando.
Daniel Nuss has moved over to the M Resort in Las Vegas as Executive Chef. For the past three years, he had been in a similar position at the Luxor. He had previously served as Assistant Executive Chef for the MGM Grand Las Vegas, Executive Chef for the Hotel InterContinental Abu Dhabi and Executive Sous Chef for the Le Méridien Dubai.
David Varley has joined Michael Mina's Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons Washington D.C. as Chef de Cuisine. He had previously served in the kitchen of the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Las Vegas and Caesar's Palace.
Trip Maudlin has taken over the kitchens at the Pelican Hill Golf Club's Pelican Grill, replacing chef Thomas Ryan. Maudlin was most recently the Executive Chef at Fringale in San Francisco. He also cooked in San Francisco at the Dining Room at the Ritz-Carlton, Michael Mina and Aqua in the city, as well as Angèle in Napa.
Michael McDonald has joined One Sixty Blue in Chicago as Executive Chef, replacing Martial Noguier who is now the Executive Chef at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower. McDonald had previously served as Chef de Cuisine at the Restaurant Charlie at the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino, and One&Only Palmilla.
Sutro's at the Cliff House owners Dan and Mary Hountalas have hired George Morrone to head up the kitchen. He had previously served at San Francisco institutions the Fifth Floor, Aqua and Market.
Sean O'Toole has left the Mina Group, where he worked as Group Operations Chef over Michael Mina's fourteen restaurants, to join Bardessono in the Yountville. Bardessono, a spread that includes a luxury hotel, restaurant and spa, is scheduled to open in February and O'Toole has been tapped to be the Executive Chef.
Jean-Christophe Le Varrat has joined the Food Art Group in Los Angeles as Director of Baking Operations. For the past ten years, he had been running Bread Los Angeles as Director of Operations and Business Development.
William Douillet has joined the SLS Beverly Hills as General Manager of the Bazaar. He was previously running the Daniel Boulud Brasserie for Wynn Las Vegas. He had previously served as Assistant General Manager at db Bistro Moderne in New York.
Patrick Bryant has joined the newly opened Encore Las Vegas as General Manager of Society. He was most recently with the Ladeki Restaurant Group at Roppongi in La Jolla in the same capacity. Previously, he spent six years with BR Guest Restaurants overseeing the Blue Water Grill Chicago, the Ocean Grill New York, and Dos Caminos Soho.
Brick Loomis has joined Michael Mina's Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons Washington D.C. as Sommelier. For the past two years, he had been with the Four Seasons Boston in various food and beverage positions. Previously, he had overseen the restaurant and wine program for Great Bay at the Hotel Commonwealth in Boston.
Marcus Mueller has been promoted to Director of Rooms for the Hotel Bel-Air. For the past two years, he had served as Front of House Manager at the Connaught London.
Ozgen Cevik has been appointed Assistant General Manager at the Blackstone Chicago. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Westin Providence and previously served as Director of Food and Beverage at the Conrad International Chicago.
Tom Hazay has transferred to the St. Regis Atlanta as Director of Rooms. He was most recently the Front Office Manager at the St. Regis Washington D.C.

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort have promoted Luciano Sperduto to Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. Sperduto had served as Director of Restaurants for the resort since 2006.

Nicole Barry has been named Spa Director of Auriga at the Capella Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas, slated to open May 2009. She had previously held the position of Spa Director of Auriga at Capella Castlemartyr.
EUROPEEmmanuel Blanchemanche has joined Starwood Hotels and Resorts at the Hotel Prince de Galles in Paris as Executive Assistant Manager. For the past two years, he had served as Operations Manager at the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort and Spa. He previously spent six years at the Noga Hilton Cannes working up the ladder to the position of Food and Beverage Manager.
Bruno Chiaruttini has joined the Preferred Hotel Group as Managing Director Continental Europe. He was most recently at the Hotel Majestic Barcelona & Hotel Inglaterra as Director of Sales and Marketing.
Milos Cerovic has moved to Budapest to take over as Executive Assistant Manager at the InterContinental. He was most recently at the InterContinental Chicago as Director of Front Office. He had previously served in rooms management positions for the Grand Hyatt DFW, the Grand Hyatt Dubai, and the MGM Grand Las Vegas.
The Von Essen hotel group has appointed Sue Crowley General Manager of Cliveden. Crowley was most recently at the Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa as General Manager. She had previously worked at the Runnymede Hotel & Spa and Sopwell House.
Stefan Bernstein has joined the Sheraton Pelikan Hotel in Hanover as General Manager. He was most recently in France as General Manager of the Hotel de La Cité-Concorde in Lyon. He previously spent three years as Executive Assistant Manager at the Sheraton Heathrow in London, as well as four years as Rooms Division Manager at the Sheraton Brussels Airport.
Mark Armstrong has been named General Manager of the Staybridge Suites Newcastle. He was previously the General Manager of the Caledonian Hotel, Newcastle.

Franz Kranzfelder has been named Corporate Director of Food and Beverage for the ArabellaSheraton Group. His professional history includes fourteen years with Hilton International, culminating with a long stint as Executive Chef of the (then) Hong Kong Hilton. He also served as Corporate Executive Chef for Disneyworld.
Chris Horridge has joined Cliveden as Executive Head Chef of the hotel's three restaurants. He was most recently overseeing the Priory's restaurants in Bath. Michael Caines steps in to take over for him in Bath.
Romain Meder, formerly of La Cour Jardin at the Plaza-Athénée in Paris, is the new Chef at Alain Ducasse's Spoon des Iles at the One&Only St. Géran. He succeeds Philippe Duc, who moves to Spoon Hong Kong as Executive Sous Chef to Tjaco Van Eijken. Sylvain Fouilleul, who was the Sous Chef to Philippe Marc at the Relais Plaza (also at the Plaza-Athénée) is now in charge of La Cour Jardin.
Marco Pelletier has been appointed Chef Sommelier at Paris' Bristol Hotel. A Canadian, Pelletier joins from Taillevent where he was in charge of the late Jean-Claude Vrinat's 425,000-bottle wine cellar. Pelletier spent five years at Taillevent.
ASIA AND THE PACIFIC Carlson Hotels Worldwide has appointed Jean-Marc Busato Asia Pacific President and Managing Director based in Singapore. He comes from the Rezidor Hotel Group, where he was Area Vice President and Managing Director for Middle East and Africa. He had previously held various positions with Egyptotel and Mövenpick.
Bill Countryman has been named General Manager of the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. He was most recently the General Manager of the Kaua'i Marriott Resort & Beach Club. He had previously served as Resort Manager at the Marriott Kaua'i Beach Club, and as Area Director of Operations for Pacific Islands, Marriott International.
John Gerrard has moved to Bangkok to take over as General Manager of the Grand Millennium Sukhumvit. He was previously serving as Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing, Luxury Hotels for Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces.
Herbert Laubichler-Pichler has been named General Manager of Vietnam's Nam Hai, staying with GHM for whom he previously managed the Saujana in Kuala Lumpur. As for the former General Manager of the Nam Hai, Wayne Duberly, he is moved by GHM to the Chedi Chiang Mai.
At the Chedi Chiang Mai, Wayne Duberly takes over from Eleanor Hardy who becomes the General Manager of the Datai in Langkawi. Jamie Case had managed the Datai since its opening in 1993.
Also at GHM, Andreas Herbst moves from the Legian Bali to the Saujana, and Cornell graduate Carla Petzold-Beck moves from Carcosa Seri Negara in Kuala Lumpur to the Legian Bali as General Manager.
Lachlan Walker has been named General Manager of the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas in Australia. He was most recently running the Le Méridien Port Vila.
The U Chiang Mai has named Surapan Somthai General Manager. Somthai was most recently the General Manager of the Siam Bayview Hotel in Pattaya.
Fred Matti is now the General Manager of the InterContinental Sydney. It is a return to Sydney where he used to manage the Westin prior to transferring to Kuala Lumpur with Starwood as General Manager of the Sheraton Imperial and Vice President for Starwood Southeast Asia.
Robert Hunter is named General Manager of the Aston Marina All-Suites Hotel in Indonesia. He was most recently the General Manager of the Majestic Hotel Malacca.
Denis Gruhier has joined the Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa in Malaysia as Group General Manager. For the past year, he had been with Naiade Resorts in Mauritius as Group Operations Manager.
Robert Jensch has been appointed General Manager of the newly opened Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott. He was most recently the General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall in Jamaica.
The Pan Pacific Singapore has appointed Frederic Jenni Hotel Manager. The Lausanne graduate was most recently the General Manager at the Hotel Le Germain in Toronto.
Emile Bootsma has joined the Kempinksi Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center as Hotel Manager. He was most recently with the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich as Hotel Manager. He had previously served with the Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel Munich as Executive Assistant Manager.
Oscar Postma has been named Executive Assistant Manager at the St. Regis Singapore. He has been with Starwood since 1996, most recently as Executive Assistant Manager at the Westin Dublin.
David Stepetic has transferred as Director of Food and Beverage to the Four Seasons Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. Stepetic had held various food and beverage positions in the past with the company, starting out in Seattle then moving to Chicago, Washington D.C., Miami and, most recently at the Four Seasons Tokyo at Chinzan-so as Consulting Director of Food and Beverage.

Nicholas Smith has joined the Shangri-La Rasa Ria in Malaysia as Food and Beverage Director. He was most recently in Turkey at the Mardan Palace as Food and Beverage Manager. He had previously served in food and beverage positions for Mandarin Oriental and the Four Seasons hotels in Boston and London.
The Kaanapali Beach Hotel on Maui has named Kalani Nakoa Director of Sales and Marketing. Nakoa previously spent eight years with Hyatt, where he served most recently as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa. Prior to that, he worked at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa.
The Conrad Hong Kong has appointed Lucinder Ng Director of Sales and Marketing. She was previously the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen and also held the same position at the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong.

Six Senses has promoted Omar Romero to the position of Group Development Director. The Lausanne graduate has been with the company for five years and most recently held the position of Development Director for the group.
Rick St Maurice has transferred to the Shangri-La Hotel and Traders Hotel in Macao as Executive Assistant Manager Sales and Marketing. For the past four years, he had been with the Kowloon Shangri-La as Director of Marketing. He had previously overseen marketing for the Makati Shangri-La, the Island Shangri-La and the Traders Hotel.
The St. Regis Singapore has appointed Ashley Hansen Director of Sales and Marketing. Hansen had previously served as Regional Director of Sales for Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts Asia, and Director of Sales and Marketing at Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur.
Brian Lynx has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hilton Grand Wailea Resort. He was most recently in the same position at the Westin Moana Surfrider. He had previously served as Area Director of Marketing for Starwood French Polynesia.
The Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen has named Doris Hui Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently serving as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Shangri-La Shenzhen.
Alexandre Lozachmeur has taken over the helm of the Harbour Grill & Oyster Bar in Singapore. For the past five years, he had been at several of Chef Alain Ducasse's restaurants including the Plaza Athénée Restaurant in Paris and Spoon in St. Tropez.
The Gayana Eco Resort in Borneo has appointed Michael Maguire Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Chef at Clearwater Resort in New Zealand.
The InterContinental Hanoi Westlake has named Eric Fettke Executive Chef. Fettke had previously overseen the kitchens at the Sandton Sun & Towers InterContinental Johannesburg and the InterContinental Warszawa in Poland.
Christopher Romine has transferred to the China World Hotel Beijing as Executive Chef. He was most recently in the same position at the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. He had previously overseen the kitchen for the Shangri-La Manila and the Ritz-Carlton Cancun, as well as serving as the Executive Sous Chef for the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua.
The Regent Singapore has named Charles Fisher Director of Rooms. He comes from the same position at the Four Seasons Nevis where he joined in 2005 as Assistant Director of Rooms. He had been with the company since 1999, serving in various positions in London and at the Pierre in New York.
MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICAThe Nile Hilton is due to convert to the Ritz-Carlton Cairo after extensive renovations in 2011 and has placed Martin Kleinmann as General Manager. He transfers from his most recent position as Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain. He had previously served as Executive Assistant Manager at the Imperial New Delhi and the Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Hamburg.
Jeffrey Seward has come in as Task Force Takeover Leader to handle the rebranding of the Ritz-Carlton Cairo. For the past four years, he had been the General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Seoul. He had previously served as General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta.
Thomas Norberg has been named Chief Operating Officer for the Al Ghurair Group in the UAE. He was most recently the opening General Manager of the Fairmont Zanzibar. He had previously been with the Fairmont Nairobi and overseen food and beverage for the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota, and the Plaza in New York.
The Hyatt Regency Dubai has appointed John Beveridge General Manager. He started his career at the hotel in 1982 before serving in various positions with the Hyatt Regency Riyadh, the Hyatt Regency Singapore, the Hyatt Regency Pusan and, most recently, the Grand Hyatt Singapore, where he served as Hotel Manager.
Margaret Paul has returned as General Manager to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. She had been with Jumeirah since 2002, and previously worked as Hotel Manager at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. She had previously worked as Pre-Opening General Manager for Jumeirah Business Bay in Dubai, and Hotel Manager for the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London.
Oliver Key has joined the Address, Dubai Marina as General Manager. He was most recently the Hotel Manager for the Fairmont Dubai.
Christian Rainalter has been promoted to General Manager of the Hotel JAL Fujairah Resort & Spa. He was previously the property's Assistant General Manager.
Kathleen Stuck has been appointed Resident Manager of the JW Marriott Dubai. She had previously served as Director of Rooms at the Raffles Dubai and in various positions at the Hilton Dubai Creek, the Great Eastern Hotel in London and the InterContinental Berlin.
The JW Marriott Dubai has appointed Kevin Wills Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently with the Waikoloa Beach Resort and Spa as Director of Operations. He had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage for the Wailea Marriott Resort and Spa and the MGM Mirage Beau Rivage in Biloxi.
Stéphane Gras has transferred to the Four Seasons Cairo at First Residence as Food and Beverage Director. He has been with the company since 1999, most recently as Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Prague. Through the years, he had served as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Hualalai, Newport Beach and Austin.
Patrick Beaury has accepted the position of Food and Beverage Director at Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza taking over from Reinhold Nagler. Beaury was most recently at the Four Seasons Toronto where he held the same position.
