The Millennium & Copthorne Hotels adds another milestone to its list of achievements with the opening of Copthorne Hotel Qingdao, rebranded from Hotel Equatorial Qingdao, in May 2008.

The new star is the first hotel of the Copthorne brand to join the growing global portfolio of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (M&C) in China.

Copthorne Hotel Qingdao is 60% owned by LKN Investment International Pte Ltd ("LKNII") and 40% owned by China Civil Aviation Hua Dong Administration Authority.

Located to the southeast part of Shandong Province, Qingdao is a beautiful seaside city and is also an important city for international trade.

The hotel lobby and public areas inclusive of all restaurants, function rooms and ballroom were renovated in early 2008. The hotel features 455 well-appointed guest rooms inclusive of 38 Club rooms and 17 suites, which were completely renovated in early 2007.
