Marco Selva has been appointed General Manager of the
St. Regis Bal Harbour, opening early 2012. He had previously been with
Ritz-Carlton for over ten years in various positions including opening General Manager for the
Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, General Manager for the
Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne and Regional Vice President, & Area Vice President in the Florida Regional Office.
Abdullah Vural has come on as the permanent General Manager of the
Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch after joining last September as Interim General Manager and Corporate Vice President of Operations, Americas. In the past, he had served as Interim General Manager at the
Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay and the
Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain.
Rob Cote has been named Vice President of Operations for
Interstate Hotels & Resorts. He was most recently the Regional Director of Operations at
Alliance Hospitality and a former General Manager at
aloft Chapel Hill.
Martein van Wagenberg has joined
Las Ventanas al Paraiso as General Manager. He was most recently overseeing
Rosewood's Little Dix Bay and is a former General Manager for
Grace Bay Club on Turks and Caicos. At Las Ventanas, he takes the position left vacant by
Lionel Alvarez.
Auberge Resorts has appointed
Martin Nicholson General Manager of
Encantado in Santa Fe. He was most recently in Pasadena as Managing Director at the
Langham Huntington Hotel. His past General Manager posts include the
Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Rose Hall, the
Carmel Valley Ranch and
Caneel Bay.
Shaun Robinson has moved as General Manager of the
Hilton Anaheim, taking over from
Harold Rapoza who is now in Dallas for Hilton. Robinson was most recently the General Manager of the
Hilton Costa Mesa. He is a former General Manager of the
Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas and the
Doubletree Del Mar.
Marco Scherer has returned to the
Monaco Chicago to take on the new post of General Manager. He had previously served as Assistant General Manager of the property. His most recent posts include General Manager of the
Vero Beach Hotel & Spa, and General Manager of the
Hotel Madera in Washington, D.C.
Peter Dunn has been named General Manager of the
Renaissance Baton Rouge slated to open in the fall. He was most recently the General Manager of
Le Westin Montréal.
Robert Reeves has been appointed General Manager of the
Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst, slated to reopen this summer. He was most recently the Director of Operations for the
Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill after serving the resort as Food and Beverage Director.
Don Cook has been named General Manager of the
Hotel Minneapolis. He was most recently overseeing the
Marriott Norcross and is the former General Manager of the
Embassy Suites Orlando Downtown.
Evan Evans has been promoted to General Manager at
Le Méridien Philadelphia. He joined the hotel last year as Hotel Manager. He is the former Director of Operations for the
Westin Philadelphia.
Laurent Boisdron is the new General Manager for
41 North Waterfront Resort in Rhode Island. He was most recently the Director of Operations for the
Sofitel Miami, and was previously at the
Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach as Director of Food and Beverage.
Jurgen Schafers has been named General Manager of the
Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek scheduled to open in October. He was most recently the General Manager of the
Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. He is the former Hotel Manager for the
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort.
Eliezer Quinones has been appointed General Manager of the
Capella Ixtapa. He is the former Executive Assistant of Rooms at the
Carefree Resort and Villas before relocated to Los Cabos to take on the post of Hotel Manager of the
Capella Pedregal.
Florent Gateau has joined the
National in Miami as Consultant and General Manager. He was most recently overseeing the
One Bal Harbor Hotel. He is the former General Manager of the

Greg Rizzi has joined

Harvard Hotel & Club of New York.
Brent Gresham has joined the

Zack Zahran has returned to the

Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina has appointed
Michael Connolly Executive Assistant Manager. He had previously overseen operations for the
Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort and the
Hyatt Valencia.
Mathias Cocuron has transferred to the
Four Seasons Baltimore as Director of Finance. He was most recently in the same position at the
Four Seasons Nevis. He had previously served in the finance department at the
Four Seasons London Park Lane and had held the title of Director of Purchasing at the
Four Seasons Terre Blanche.
Kush Minhas has been named Director of Finance for the
Conrad New York. Minhas was previously the Assistant Director of Finance at the
Waldorf=Astoria New York and the
Hilton New York.
Christopher Thullen has joined the
SLS at Beverly Hills as Director of Finance. For the past five years, he had served as Controller for the
Viceroy Santa Monica. He is the former Controller for the
Sheraton Delfina Hotel and the
Mondrian.
Josh Fluhr has been appointed Vice President of Development and Openings for
SBE Hotel Group. Fluhr played a key role in the launch of the
SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills in 2008 and was previously instrumental in helping launch the
aloft brand for
Starwood Hotels and Resorts and the
Edition brand for
Marriott.
Wil Lee is now with the
W Washington, D.C. as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently in the same position at
Caesars Atlantic City. He had previously served in food and beverage management for the
West Paces Hotel Group, the former
Four Seasons Newport Beach and the
Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa.
David Bodette is now in Vail as Director of Food and Beverage for the

Phoenician Resort. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the

Bruno Roulleux has returned to Chicago to take on the role of Director of Food and Beverage at the

Chris Kane Director of Leisure Sales. This is a return to the resort for Kane who had previously worked as a Travel Industry Sales Manager there from 1998 to 2001. He had formerly served in sales positions for
Starwood Vacation Ownership and
Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.
Alisha Mahon is the Public Relations Director for the soon-to-reopen
Hotel Bel-Air. She had previously served as Account Director for
Hawkins International PR before joining
Miraval Resort & Spa in 2010 as Director of Public Relations.
Cathy Phillips has been named Catering Director at the
Glenn Hotel in Atlanta. She had previously overseen events at the
Buckhead Club and the
Devils Ridge Golf Club.
Jacques Sorci is the new Executive Chef for the
Carlyle in New York. Since 1992 he had been with the
Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, most recently as both Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage at the
Ritz-Carlton New York. He is the former Executive Chef of the
Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey.
Ignacio Lopez has been named Chef de Cuisine at the
Taj Boston. He had previously served in culinary positions at the
MIT Faculty Club, the
Resort at Pelican Hill and the
Mayflower Inn and Spa.
Nathan Beriau has taken over for
Patrick Callarec as Executive Chef at the
Ritz-Carlton San Francisco. Beriau has been promoted from his most recent position with the hotel as Executive Sous Chef.

Andaz West Hollywood has promoted
Pierre Gornes to Executive Chef at
RH Restaurant. He takes over from
Sébastien Archambault from his most recent position at the hotel as Sous Chef.
The
Tempo Miami has appointed
Daniel Wells Executive Chef for
Amuse. He was most recently a Sous Chef at the
Setai South Beach.
La Posada de Santa Fe has named
Eric Hall Executive Chef. He was most recently in Colorado at the
Arrabelle at Vail Square. He had previously held culinary positions with the
Grand Teton Lodge, the

José Bossuet Martinez has been appointed Executive Chef of the
Royal Hideaway Playacar in
Riviera Maya. He was previously the Executive Chef at the
Fiesta Americana Grand Chapultepec, and
Karisma Hotels. He is the former Head Chef to former Mexican President
Vicente Fox.

InterContinental New York Barclay as Executive Chef. For the past six years, he had been the Executive Chef at the

Four Seasons Atlanta. She had previously overseen front office at the
Pierre in New York, and the
Four Seasons George V.
Claudio Togo has joined the
St. Regis Monarch Beach as Director of Rooms. For the past ten years, he had been with
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Florence, Westlake Village and New York. He was most recently serving as Director of Rooms at the
Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
Matthew Vandegrift will soon be leaving his current position of Resort Manager at the
Four Seasons Seychelles, to move to the
Four Seasons Atlanta as Director of Rooms. He is also a former Director of Rooms at the
Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa and Assistant Director of Rooms at the
Four Seasons Las Vegas.

Viceroy Miami as Director of Residences. He is the former Director of Rooms for the
Rosewood Mayakoba and the

Viceroy Hotel Group. He had previously overseen IT for
JC Resorts in San Diego and
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts based in San Francisco.
Movita Hernandez has been appointed Spa Director at the
Mokara Hotel & Spa in San Antonio. She was most recently the Spa Director at the
Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale.
EUROPE Wolfgang Neumann has joined
Rezidor in Brussels as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, succeeding
Jacques Dubois who has left the company. Neumann was recently the Chief Executive Officer for the
Arabella Hospitality Group in Munich and had previously spent over twenty years with
Hilton International.
Guido Polito has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of
Baglioni Hotels, succeeding
Roberto Polito who will remain as President of the group. Guido was most recently the Vice President Operations for the company. In addition,
Giuliano Rocchi, who has served for years as Chief Financial and Administrative Director of the group, has been appointed Vice President.
Gregory Maliassas has rejoined
Sofitel to take over from
Ignace Bauwens as Area General Manager for Sofitel Germany and Austria. For the past four years, Maliassas was the Director of Operations for
Chandris Hotels & Resorts, based in Athens. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage of the
Sofitel Athens and Hotel Manager at the
Sofitel Washington, D.C. and the
Sofitel Los Angeles.
Werner Anzinger takes over from
Clemens Hoerth as General Manager of the
Mandarin Oriental Prague. He was most recently the Resident Manager at the
Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London.
Spiridon Sarantopoulos has been named General Manager of the
Steigenberger Grandhotel Petersberg near Bonn. He was most recently serving as Director of the
Grandhotel Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof.
Stephen Hanley has been appointed General Manager at the (former
Renaissance)
Shelbourne Dublin. He was most recently managing the
Galway Radisson Blu. In Dublin, he takes over from
Liam Doyle, now the General Manager of the
Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain.
Benedikt Jaschke has joined the
Wirth Family's historic
Hotel Hassler in Rome as Resident Manager. He is the former Resident Manager at the
Schlosshotel Lehrbach in Germany and had previously managed food and beverage at the
Hotel Principe di Savoia.

Hôtel Le Bristol Paris has named
Leah Marshall Hotel Director. She had previously held management positions for the
Four Seasons George V and the newly opened
Shangri-La Paris. She will once again be working under the leadership of Managing Director
Didier Le Calvez.
At the soon-to-open
Mandarin Oriental Paris,
Véronique Ellinger has been named Spa Director. She comes from the
Espace Payot in Paris, a freestanding spa. Prior to that, she was the General Manager of the
Spa Caudalie at the
Hotel Meurice.

Agnès Caradec succeeds
Armelle Volkringer as Corporate Director of Communications and Public Relations. A former
Ernst & Young senior officer, she is also a former Director of Public Relations for
Nike and
McDonalds France.
After ten years as General Manager of the
Mas Candille,
Anthony Torkington leaves to become the General Manager of the
Cap Est Lagoon Resort & Spa in Martinique. His successor at the Mas Candille is
Giuseppe Cosmai.
The
Four Seasons George V has promoted
Antoine Corneille to Director of Food and Beverage. He joined the hotel in 2004 after spending fifteen years at the
Ritz Paris in various roles.
Skander Ayari has returned to Paris to take the post of Food and Beverage Director at
Le Méridien Etoile. He was previously the Director of Food and Beverage at the
Concorde Lafayette Paris before taking on his most recent position as Director of Food and Beverage in Tunisia at the
Mövenpick Resort & Marine Spa Sousse.
Nicolas Bellaton has been promoted to Director of Food and Beverage at the
Four Seasons Geneva. He joined the hotel in pre-opening at the front desk before moving into his most recent position as Director of Catering and Sales Manager.

Dusit International, based in Hong Kong. He is the former Chief Executive Officer of

John Shigley has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of the
MGM Grand Ho Tram in Vietnam. He was most recently serving as Executive Vice President of Operations for the
MGM Grand Las Vegas. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer for the
MGM Grand Las Vegas and as Executive Vice President at the
New York-New York Hotel & Casino.
Christine Hodder, who had been the General Manager of the
Puli Hotel in Shanghai and the

Katja Henke has joined the
Peninsula Shanghai as Hotel Manager. She had been the Hotel Manager at the

Michael Mestraud has been promoted to Resort Manager at the
Four Seasons Bora Bora. He joined the resort in 2008 as opening Director of Food and Beverage.

Frankson Lee Resident Manager. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the
Mandarin Oriental Sanya. He is the former Director of Rooms of the
Shangri-La Chengdu and Executive Assistant Manager of the
Shangri-La Tokyo.

Centro Yas Island has appointed
Eleni Tsolakou Executive Assistant Manager. She was previously part of the pre-opening team of the
Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi.

Martin Schaumburg Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously served as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage for the
Kempinski Huizhou.
Leo Holli has been named Food and Beverage Director for the
Yas Island Rotana and
Centro Yas Island. He had previously overseen food and beverage for
Rotana at
Villa,
Rimal,
Rihab Rotana back in 2008 and the
Towers Rotana on Sheikh Zayed Road in 2009.
Celian Skandrani has been promoted at
Raffles Singapore to Director of Food and Beverage. He had joined the hotel in 2009 as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage after serving in the same position for three years at the
Ritz-Carlton Santiago.
John Dopéré has joined the
Six Senses Hua Hin and
Evason Hua Hin as Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage of the
Royal Golf Club in Bahrain and the
Constance Lémuria Resort.
Lucinda Semark has been named Executive Vice President, Revenue Generation, for
Carlson Hotels, Asia Pacific. She was previously the Senior Vice President, Marketing, at the
Marina Bay Sands Singapore.
Patrick Callarec is back in Hawaii as Executive Chef of the
Disney Aulani Resort and Spa opening in August. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the
Ritz-Carlton San Francisco. This is return to the islands for Callarec after serving as Executive Chef at the
Ritz-Carlton Kapalua before having his own restaurant,
Chez Paul, on Maui.
Thua An has been named Executive Chef of
La Residence Hotel and Spa in Vietnam. For the past three years, he had served as Executive Chef of the
Princess d'Annam Resort and Spa.
Ali Mohammed returns to the Maldives as Director of Rooms of the
Four Seasons Kuda Huraa. He had previously been with the
Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru before moving in 2008 to his most recent role of Assistant Director of Rooms at the
Four Seasons Damascus.
MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA Ignace Bauwens has been named Vice President Operations Gulf Region at
InterContinental Hotels Group. He was most recently with
Sofitel as Area General Manager for Sofitel Germany & Austria.
Yves Wencker has moved to Marrakech to take over as pre-opening General Manager
for the
Selman Palace with interiors designed by Jacques Garcia.
He was most recently with the
Telfair Golf and Spa Resort on Mauritius as General Manager. He had previously served as General Manager at the
Commune by the Great Wall, the
Dorint Sofitel Am Alten Wall,
Stapleford Park and as Director of Food and Beverage at the
Ritz London.
Sven Wiedenhaupt has been named General Manager at the
Four Seasons Damascus. He joined the company in 2004 as Director of Food and Beverage at the
Four Seasons New York before moving into his current role as Hotel Manager of the
Four Seasons Doha in 2008.
InterContinental Hotels Group has promoted
Georg Weinlander to Area General Manager for the
Phoenicia and
Le Vendôme Hotels. For the past two years, he had served as General Manager of the
Phoenicia Hotel Beirut.
Oliver Bruns has been promoted to Hotel Manager and joining the
Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza. The Cornell graduate was most recently the Director of Rooms at the
Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh. He had previously held rooms management positions at the
Four Seasons Amman and the
Four Seasons Great Exuma.
The
Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Downtown has appointed
Ian Rydin General Manager. He was most recently in the same position for the
Radisson Blu Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul.
The
Four Seasons Doha has named
Ahmed Khalaf Hotel Manager. He was most recently in the same position with the
Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza.
Roy Buitenkamp has moved as Director of Food and Beverage to the
Four Seasons Riyadh. He was most recently in the same position at the
Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza. Buitekamp was formerly at the
St. Regis New York as Director of Food and Beverage after joining the hotel as opening General Manager of
Alain Ducasse's
Adour.
The
Four Seasons Mauritius has promoted
Adrien Harel to Director of Food and Beverage. The Mauritius born Harel joined the resort in 2008 as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. He is the former Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the
One&Only Le Touessrok.
Frédéric Cappello has joined the
Beau Rivage Resort on Mauritius as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently at the
JW Marriott Costa Rica in the same role. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage for the
Capella Pedregal and Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the
One&Only Palmilla.
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has promoted
Ashraf Elzahed to Director of Corporate Marketing - Middle East. He had previously served as Director of Marketing at the
Four Seasons Doha, the
Four Seasons Amman and as Director of Sales at the
Four Seasons Cairo at the First Residence.
Banyan Tree has appointed
Zee Bassila Regional Director, Marketing - Middle East, based in Dubai. He has been with the company since 2009, most recently serving in Singapore as Director, Pre-Opening Operations.
Kempinski has appointed
Janet Abrahams Area Director Sales and Marketing Levant Region. She was most recently with the
Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi as Executive Director Sales and Marketing.

Jumeirah Group has appointed
Christian Pertl Vice-President of Sales and Marketing - Dubai. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for

Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza has promoted
Thierry Papillier to Executive Chef. He joined the hotel last year as Executive Sous Chef.
