The UK team is based at Heathrow and will provide support and manage sales for UK customers of a wide range of hospitality IT solutions.

Amadeus, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, has opened a new Hotel IT office at Heathrow, London. The office is part of Amadeus' global expansion of its IT business for the hotels sector.

Amadeus offers advanced technology solutions including Property Management (Amadeus PMS) and Revenue Management (Amadeus RMS). Worldwide, 6,700 hotels in 75 countries currently use Amadeus PMS.

The solution is a fully customised suite which gives a single view on guest data for every room across multiple hotel properties covering front office, point-of-sales, inventory management, accountancy, sales and banqueting.

It integrates large volumes of guest information offering a single consolidated view on guests, allowing hotels to gain valuable intelligence about their guests and ultimately offer an outstanding hospitality experience.

Amadeus Hotel RMS is a powerful decision support tool which optimises the revenue on each available room (RevPAR) by providing the manager with business performance data and forecasting future demand.

The solution forecasts future demand with unparalleled accuracy, using advanced software which "learns" from experience to greatly improve demand prediction over time. Performance and forecasting data is then combined to help hotel managers quote the price that will yield the highest RevPAR.

"Combining global reach with local expertise is a core tenet of Amadeus' philosophy," says Garth McFarlane, Hotel IT Sales Manager, UK and Ireland,

"And that is exactly the objective of establishing this presence. UK hotel chains can now trust in the local support of Amadeus' IT excellence centre in Heathrow, with the expertise and manpower of the global organisation in the background."
