Carlson adds six new hotels.

Carlson Hotels Worldwide today announced that six new hotels joined its global portfolio, during July 2007 -

The new properties include a Radisson resort in Fiji; a Park Inn Canada; and four Country Inns & Suites By Carlson properties in Ohio; Michigan, Virginia and Florida.

"Carlson's hotel brands continue to build great momentum as we completed the mid-point of 2007," said Bill Sipple, corporate vice president of development for Carlson Hotels Worldwide. "We are seeing steady and strong growth with the expansion of Country Inns & Suites in the United States and Park Inn in Canada, plus introductions into important new markets such as Fiji for Radisson."

Radisson Hotels & Resorts Debuts in Fiji

Set amidst 10 acres of beautiful beachfront land on Denarau Island, the new Radisson Resort Fiji Denarau Island offers 270 spacious guestrooms and suites feature contemporary style with stunning views of the ocean, pool or golf course. Meeting and conference facilities accommodate up to 160 people, making the resort an ideal destination for leisure and business travelers. The Radisson Resort Fiji Denarau Island, which is owned by Tabua Investments Ltd., is located close to Nadi Town for shopping and cultural experiences, as is only minutes from Nadi International Airport, Fiji's main international gateway. The resort is managed by Carlson Hotels Worldwide -- Asia Pacific.

Radisson's global portfolio now totals 398 properties with 88,508 guestrooms.

Country Inns & Suites Maintains Steady Pace with Four New Locations

The four new Country Inns & Suites By Carlson properties brings the brand's global portfolio totals to 422 hotels and 33,723 guestrooms.

The newly constructed Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Iron Mountain is located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The 84-room hotel offers daily complimentary breakfast, an indoor heated pool and whirlpool, and an onsite fitness center. Several restaurants are located nearby, as is the Pine Grove Country Club. This hotel is owned by TJM Hospitality, LLC.

The 100-room Country Inn & Suites, Woodbridge, Va., is owned by Aram, LLC, and is an ideal destination for shopping at the Potomac Mills Outlets or spending time in Washington, D.C., just 25 miles away. A variety of restaurants are located nearby in Woodbridge; onsite amenities include a pool and whirlpool, and flexible meeting space for up to 58 people.

The 72-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Lima, Ohio, offers a wide array of complimentary services, including daily breakfast buffet, USA Today newspaper and high-speed Internet access in all rooms. The hotel is located close to restaurants and shops, and is just two miles from the Allen Country Fairgrounds, home of the 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals and Rebel Run Rod & Custom Nationals. Sunrise Hospitality, Inc. owns this new hotel.

Located in the Kendall area in southwest Miami, the Country Inn & Suites, Miami offers 97 newly remodeled and non-smoking guestrooms. Each room includes a refrigerator, microwave, cable television and complimentary high-speed Internet access that is available throughout the hotel. The hotel is located in a beautiful tropical lakeside setting near numerous attractions greater Miami area, and is owned by Kendall International Investment Group, LLC

Park Inn Expands in Canada's Atlantic Provinces

Canada's newest Park Inn is located in eastern New Brunswick in the country's Atlantic Provinces. Situated on the banks of the Miramichi River, the 65-room Park Inn & Suites on the River is convenient to Miramichi Health Centre, the Newcastle Business District and the Civic Centre. The hotel offers one full-service restaurant, one of the largest patios overlooking the river and three nearby golf courses. New Brunswick's Bathurst Airport is one hour away. This hotel is owned by Silver-Quest Hotels (Miramichi) Inc. Park Inn's portfolio now boasts 86 properties and 13,976.

Regent Hotels & Resorts Readies for Future Growth

Regent Hotels & Resorts continues its global expansion announcing its first property in the United Arab Emirates, The Regent Emirates Pearl. The hotel is scheduled to open in Abu Dhabi in 2010. The luxury hotel will house 365 rooms and 70 furnished apartments in a contemporary 47-story building designed by award-winning architect, Dennis Lems.

Regent resort properties continue to grow with the announcement of planned 2008 opening of The Regent Maldives on the island nation located in the Indian Ocean. Regent Hotels & Resorts will transform the island of Maalefushi into a 50-villa luxury resort. At the heart of the Thaa Atoll, the resort will feature 23 beach villas, 27 over-water villas, and several presidential villas, all with private plunge pools and timber decks overlooking the turquoise lagoon. In 2010, Regent will add The Regent Papagayo in Costa Rica to its resort portfolio. The Regent Papagayo will be a 150-room, five-star luxury resort with three restaurants, a destination spa and wellness center along with stunning ocean views and two white sand beaches. It will be the only resort in the area to offer an on-premise retail village.

The hotel group also moved forward with its North American properties, celebrating a construction milestone for The Regent Boston at Battery Wharf. The 150-room luxury hotel, slated to open in 2008, will be part of a mixed-use development destination with 104-unit hotel-serviced residential condominiums, a marina, and a Coast Guard Museum. The Regent Boston at Battery Wharf will also offer the first North American restaurant by celebrity chef Guy Martin.
