After a year of eager anticipation from the public the Swissôtel, Krasnye Holmy Moscow opened on 18 July 2005.

The opening events started in the morning with a tightly packed press conference held at the hotel's executive lounge, located on the 19th floor and boasts spectacular views of downtown Moscow.

Thereafter, members of the press had the opportunity to inspect the hotel and its facilities. In the afternoon, VIP guests started arriving to check into Moscow's most modern and comfortable rooms to relax and freshen up for the evening festivities.

Champagne bottles started popping by 6pm in a reception at the hotel's impressive lobby followed by a "fashion show" of hotel staff showcasing their new uniforms to the delight of the guests. The party then moved to Café Suisse for a gourmet dinner prepared by an international team of chefs.

After some late night wining and dining, the VIP guests called it a night and retreated to their respective rooms for a good night's sleep. But the party did not end there. Guests had a leisurely breakfast the next morning after being among the first guests to experience a night at the hotel. Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy Moscow is truly building up a reputation as the newest landmark of style in the heart of the city.
