The most exceptional hotel projects, which could become real one day.
An InterContinental Resort in a crater: sounds like a flamboyant vision but will become real in 2015. On an island near to Shanghai in Southern China the Intercontinental Shimao Shanghai Wonderland Resort with 380 rooms will open their doors. The holiday hotel is part of a huge theme parkt.
Just one floor will be seen over the earth, the other 18 floors will be in the depth. The Intercontinental Resort will cost about 75 million Euros and it will be unique. It is one of several exceptional hotel projects, which TOPHOTELPROJECTS, the worldwide leading provider of global b2b hotel data, recently assembled.
Near Hanai, the paradisiac Chinese holiday island in the South of the mainland, a underwater hotel will arise by 2016.
"Hydropolis" should feature 175 rooms and suites above and under the water – with a spectacular view at the coral reef, where it should be located. Water taxis will transport the guest to the 100 meter distant island. The outstanding underwater hotel is planned by the Berlin architect company Gewers & Pudewill.
Another unique hotel concept in China is currently in development Gewers & Pudewill. In the theme park "Waterworld Bei Bei" near Chongqing (35 million inhabitants) a "landscape hotel" with 300 rooms and a luxury spa will arise.
The wellness and congress hotel will be absolutely integrated into the landscape and should reflect the theme of the rice fields. The rooms will offer a view at the artificially arranged water landscape around the so far exciting hot springs. The opening is scheduled for this year.
An outstanding hotel ship is planned in Florida. The "Undersea Resort" should eventually thrill as a swimming hotel with three decks with rooms beneath the water surface and of course with a casino. There are still investors needed for the 600 million dollar project. But the chances are quite good: there are 600 suites planned as well as a large spa, a golf simulator, two helicopter landing fields and a underwater observation station.
