The Hotel Yearbook launches its 4th annual look at hotel technology trends, including profiles of 18 tech-based hospitality startups; partners with IUBH’s Prof. Willy Legrand as Guest Editor in Chief.

Released exclusively as an e-book, The Hotel Yearbook 2017 â€" Technology features contributions from more than 30 opinion leaders around the world on the outlook for technological innovation in several key areas affecting the future success of a hotel enterprise.

Wade & Co. SA, the Swiss-based publisher of The Hotel Yearbook, a family of annual compendiums of expert opinion and insights on the future of the hotel industry, announces the launch of The Hotel Yearbook 2017â€"Technology, its fourth Special Edition focused exclusively on the changing technology landscape in the world of hospitality.

"The editorial concept of all of the editions within The Hotel Yearbook family is to bring together senior hotel industry executives, recognized experts and thought leaders from every part of the industry to write about trends and innovation in the global hotel business," said Woody Wade, co-publisher.

"This latest edition on technology covers a wide range of technology issues, from robotics and revenue management to managing IT talent. Its wide range means that there is something in it for everyone concerned with integrating technology in their operations."

Underscoring its focus on innovation, The Hotel Yearbook 2017 â€" Technology includes a special section featuring 18 hospitality start-ups, each making use of different tech approaches to provide creative solutions to hospitality challenges. Sponsoring this section is METRO Accelerator and Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Switzerland.

Henri Roelings, founder & CEO of Hsyndicate, and co-publisher of The Hotel Yearbook, explains one way that this edition differs from the previous three: "For the first time, we invited a knowledgeable executive in this sphere to take on the role of Guest Editor-in-Chief. Our choice for this edition was Floor Bleeker, Chief Information Officer for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, based in Dubai. With Floor's extensive hands-on experience, insider understanding of the industry's tech challenges, and wide network of senior executives and consultants, he was the ideal person to invite a number of thought leaders and practitioners to contribute their thoughts to this edition."

"It was an honor to take on the role of Guest Editor of this year's Hotel Yearbook â€" Technology," said Floor Bleeker. "Every article in the edition has a personal connection to me, with authors ranging from former colleagues, mentors and industry visionaries." With Floor's guidance, a stellar line-up of authors and topics was put together.

The Hotel Yearbook 2017 â€" Technology is published with two partners, the professional association HFTP (Hospitality Finance and Technology Professionals) and Hsyndicate, a provider of online industry intelligence based in the Netherlands.

Frank Wolfe, CEO of HFTP, said, "As part of its core purpose, HFTP actively supports collaborations among the industry's professionals so that ideas can build and innovations can continue. We understand that it is crucial to bring great minds together, and that is exactly what The Hotel Yearbook does. We are proud to partner with them again in 2017."

Technological changes will affect almost everything in the hospitality space â€" and very quickly. That is why The Hotel Yearbook 2017 â€" Technology is a must read for managers or aspiring managers. The publication was launched on 22 November. Copies are available only online at www.hotel-yearbook.com .
