Dusit Thani Pattaya is celebrating the latest addition to the list of its greatest achievements after having been presented the Golden Kinnari Award at the 9th Thailand Tourism Awards 2013 held at the Royal Jubilee Convention Hall of the Impact Challenger Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi, Bangkok.

Hotel GM Chatchawal Supachayanont accepted the trophy for the Award of Excellence in the Tourist Accommodation category from Somsak Pureesrisak, Minister of Tourism and Sports during ceremonies held Friday, 27 September.

Dusit Thani Pattaya received its first recognition at the 6th Thailand Tourism Awards and repeated the victory in 2008 and 2010 while carrying on with the acclaim to this year's presentation.

The awards are conducted on an alternate year basis since it was first implemented in 1996.

Thailand Tourism Awards is organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and aims to promote national tourism with quality standards that create confidence and safety for both Thai and foreign tourists. The Kinnari awards presented to the winners in the six categories signify the symbol of tourism accreditation that will gain tourists' confidence and trust as well as create a positive image to the Kingdom.

World Tourism Day was on 27 September and the awards presentation was a significant highlight since it supports and upholds good environmental practices towards sustainable tourism.
