East Asia continues to be hot for outbound travel from Southeast Asia.

Singaporean travel agents reported a YoY increase in China bookings during NATAS travel fair, whilst a Traveloka study saw Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai and Taipei outperforming average growth in key SE Asian markets.

Southern part of SE Asia holds its breath waiting to see how they'll be impacted by haze this season. Flights have been cancelled this week in Kalimantan due to poor visibility, schools closed in Kuching, and Singapore F1 race organsiers are making contingency plans in case the haze worsens due to an increase in forest fires in Indonesia.

Trains continue to be an attractive tourism strategy, as the State Railway of Thailand aims to double its tourism revenue within 3-5 years, Vietnam launches a new World Heritage sites train service, and Malaysia adds more ticket sales for the National Day/ school holidays.
