The upcoming Tempo properties in China join nearly 90 trading and pipeline hotels globally. Agreements have been signed with multiple owners across top destinations in China including Xiamen, Beijing, Chengdu and Jiaxing, underscoring early development momentum and partner confidence in the brand.

Currently operating five lifestyle brands in Greater China — including Canopy Hotels, Curio Collection by Hilton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Motto by Hilton and Tempo by Hilton — Hilton plans to double the number of lifestyle hotels in the country, capturing growth in the high-potential segment as guests seek more experience-driven stays. Other recent lifestyle signings in China include The Mountain The Sea Hotel Dali, Curio Collection by Hilton, a Curio Collection  hotel in Nanjing, and a Tapestry Collection property in Wuxi, as Hilton makes eight new luxury and lifestyle brand debuts across the region this year and moves towards 250 luxury and lifestyle properties in Asia Pacific.

Coming later this year, Xi Zhe Wuxi, Curio Collection by Hilton will expand the brand’s footprint in a key city with strong cultural heritage. Meanwhile, Shanghai Parkview Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, will open in Pudong, Shanghai, drawing on the area’s 450‑year salt‑making heritage and traditional craftsmanship, offering guests an inspiring journey rooted in local culture. Looking ahead, Motto by Hilton Shanghai Wuliqiao is scheduled to open in 2027, marking Motto's debut in Mainland China, located in the core area of Shanghai's Huangpu District.

Launched in 2020, Tempo was developed to meet rising demand for mindful living-driven, experience-led travel. Since its debut with the first Tempo  in New York’s Times Square, the brand has seen strong early success in the U.S., with openings in markets including Washington, D.C., Savannah, Raleigh, Pigeon Forge and Nashville, rapidly gaining momentum as one of Hilton’s next-generation lifestyle offerings. This debut continues the brand’s international expansion, following the signing of Hilton’s first Tempo property in Europe last year.

Tempo by Hilton hotels participate in Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest loyalty program for Hilton’s 28 distinct hotel brands. Hilton Honors members who book directly through preferred Hilton channels have access to instant benefits, including flexible Points and money payment options, exclusive member discounts and complimentary standard Wi-Fi.
