Virgin Hotels is expanding its global footprint with the launch of Virgin Hotels Atlanta, coming at you live from 2027.
Developed in partnership with leading real estate firm Drew Company, the hotel will form a key part of Centennial Yards - a transformative 50-acre redevelopment project that’s turning downtown Atlanta into a dynamic hub for entertainment and culture.
The hotel will become Virgin Hotels Collection’s 18th property worldwide. It adds to a stellar line-up that includes destinations like New York, Edinburgh and London, alongside the recently announced Virgin Limited Edition hotel in Marrakech, also set to open in 2027.
The hotel will feature 261 guest rooms, all designed around the brand’s signature ‘Chambers’ concept - cleverly configured spaces that allow space for sleeping, working, and relaxing. Whether you’re in a Grand King Chamber, a One-Bedroom Suite, or a premium upper-floor room - there’s a space for every occasion. At the top end, the hotel will offer a Penthouse Suite and the signature ‘Richard’s Flat’, Virgin Hotels’ flagship suite concept known for its distinctive style and elevated service.
Joe Margison, CEO of Virgin Hotels, said: “We’re so excited to bring Virgin Hotels to Atlanta. It’s a city Virgin knows well, with Virgin Atlantic connecting customers to London and Manchester daily and across the US in partnership with Delta Air Lines. Now, we’re looking forward to giving travellers and locals a new way to experience the Virgin brand — with a hotel that brings together heartfelt service, bold design and plenty of personality.”
“Set in the heart of Centennial Yards, Virgin Hotels Atlanta will feel rooted in the energy of the city and create a vibrant new place to stay, dine, drink and gather in Downtown Atlanta.”
Virgin Hotels Collection
Speaking of energy, the Atlanta property will be shaped by the city’s culture and rhythm — creating spaces that feel both locally connected and refreshingly different. The hotel is primed to become a social hotspot, with three distinct food and drink destinations:
- A ground-floor lobby bar for when you need a morning coffee or a late-night cocktail
- A signature restaurant and pool bar with a private dining room and a terrace
- A rooftop bar and lounge with skyline views and a lively setting for events and after-parties
Rising to the heat - the hotel will also have a spacious pool deck with private cabanas and a seasonal outdoor bar. If parties are your wheelhouse, you’ll have access to 2,900 square feet of flexible event space.
Creating a space like this takes a village. The project brings together the great minds of Virgin Hotels, Drew Company, Centennial Yards Company and CIM Group.
With its bold design, vibrant spaces, and unmistakable spark, Virgin Hotels Atlanta is bringing a splash of red to Downtown Atlanta.
