According to the latest research by B2C и Aven Hospitality, 80% of hotel chains and 41% of independent hotels already use AI applications.

Here are the top 7 AI applications hoteliers have implemented or are considering implementing:

  • Automated Guest Communications: 44% - already implemented (40% planned to do so)
  • Mobile applications: 38% (40% planned)
  • Sentiment analysis & guest review processing: 34% (38 planned)
  • Chatbots: 31% (40% planned)
  • Upselling & recommendations: 21% (54% planned)
  • In-room smart technology: 19% (24% planned)
  • Personalized booking experiences: 16% (49% planned).

Hotel technology vendors should follow very closely this type of market intelligence and should respond to it accordingly. Fast!

Good examples are the following areas of expertise:

  • CRM: 84% of hotels have implemented or planning to implement automated AI-driven pre-, in- and post-stay guest communications.
  • Upselling/cross-selling: 75% of hotels have implemented or planning to implement these applications to increase auxiliary revenues.
  • Online Reputation Management (ORM) for sentiment analysis and guest review management: 72% of hotels have Implemented or planning to implement ORM applications.
