Listing the most present hotel brands worldwide Best Western is the unchallenged front runner: with more than 4,100 hotels and 308,000 rooms under the identically named umbrella brand the hotel chain is worldwide the number one.
The company is ahead of hotel brands such as Holiday Inn, Marriott, Comfort Inns & Comfort Suites, Hilton and Holiday Inn Express.
This finding has been derived from a data analysis driven by TOPHOTELCHAINS, the leading service for international hotel chain data. Ranking all international hotel chains Best Western International is among the top ten (rank 7), developing several new hotels around the world such as the first Best Western Premier Hotel in the booming market Brazil, reports TOPHOTELPROJECTS, the leading service for international hotel construction projects.
The recently opened 135-room and 15-suite Best Western Premier Majestic Ponta Negra Beach is the 17th Best Western International hotel in Brazil and an important milestone in the brand’s continuous worldwide expansion. David Kong, President and CEO of Best Western International announced that Best Western aims to have 20 hotels on the Brazilian market by 2017.
South America still provides huge growth potential for Best Western International: To date there are 40 properties of the world’s leading hotel brand in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Peru, Surinam, Uruguay and Venezuela.
In another "BRIC" country (Brazil, Russia, India, China) hotel development marches on with large steps: In Russia the 84-room Best Western Plus Hotel Spasskaya in the city of Tyumen has recently opened its doors. It is the third property operated under the new Best Western sub brand in Russia.
Also in Germany, an important market for Best Western, new hotels are added. During the past year 17 new hotel partners joined the “worldwide largest hotel family” – among them famous properties such as the Grand Hotel Russischer Hof in Weimar, the large Hotel Moa Berlin or – as unique theme hotel – the so called Bierkulturhotel in Ehringen at the river Danube.
The Best Western hotel brand is in strong demand – during the past years well managed hotels joined the hotel brand as a partner, spanning the world from the USA to Ghana and Japan.
In comparison to conventional marketing co-operations, a partnership with Best Western is strong in terms of hotel branding and positioning. Best Western International is different to other hotel chains due to the individual hotel characteristics of each partner property, but it is fact that they have become one of the worldwide leading hotel groups.
