MGM Hospitality, the non-gaming division of Las Vegas-based MGM Resorts International, is planning to raise its game in its expansion into China.

The division has made known that it may open as many as 30 hotels in China in the next three to four years to tap on increasing demand for luxury travel in the country.

Currently, MGM Hospitality has nine projects under development in China, in cities such as Shanghai and Ningbo.

This constitutes almost half of the division’s development pipeline in the Asia Pacific region, which includes projects in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Jakarta.
