Four Seasons to Debut in Vietnam with Hoi An Resort

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Hotel Properties Limited (HPL) and ASB Development Limited have jointly announced the rebranding of the Nam Hai Hoi An resort, into the Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An. The iconic resort will be re-opened and managed by Four Seasons as of 20 December 2016. The Nam Hai Hoi An is a joint venture between HPL, an international property group, and ASB Development Limited, a Dubai investment group. Situated along the Hoi An coastline, the Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An will offer convenient access to the town centre of Hoi An, Da Nang and the Da Nang International Airport â€" all within 30-minutes’ drive. The resort will feature 40 private residence villas and 60 resort villas. Currently, there are three onsite dining options, a fitness centre and tennis, badminton and basketball courts. Renovation to the resort will further add a beach bar, spa, kids club and different water sports facilities.

Wyndham Hotel Group to Open the Second Hotel in Vietnam

Wyndham Hotel Group has unveiled plans to open a second property in Vietnam with the five-star Wyndham Soleil Danang, following the Wyndham Legend Halong Bay that opened in July this year. The new hotel will be in Danang’s Son Tra region, and located just 100 metres from the My Khe beach. The US$466 million project is set to open in September 2018, and will be a 199-metre, four-tower condotel complex. Featuring 3,200 apartments, studios and hotel rooms, the development will also offer conference spaces, fitness facilities, recreation parks, retail and dining venues. The condotel’s inventory include a mix of studios, one, two and three-bedroom units. Barry Robinson, the President and Managing Director of Wyndham hotel Group South East Asia commented, “With airport improvements underway, as well as its proximity to scenic beaches and UNESCO World Heritage sites, Danang is a market poised for great growth within a country popular with world travelers.“

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Opens Westin Brand in Jakarta

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has recently announced the launch of the Westin Jakarta, the first for the brand in the city, and currently the highest hotel in the Indonesian capital. The new hotel occupies floors 50 to 69 of the Gama Tower, in the Kuningan region in South Jakarta. Featuring 272 rooms and suites, the Westin Jakarta also offers several F&B options, an outdoor rooftop bar, spa and fitness studio. Additional offerings include 3,000m2 of function spaces, with a 1,500-pax ballroom and a rooftop function area for 200 people with panoramic view of the city. Following the opening of the Westin Jakarta and Four Points Jakarta Thamrin, which was also launched in August 2016, Starwood now operates seven hotels in Jakarta and is planning further expansion with at least four new hotels in the city in the coming years, including the its first Aloft and St Regis properties.

Banyan Tree Residences Brisbane Debuts in Australia

Banyan Tree officially launched the Banyan Tree Residences Brisbane, the group’s first project in Australia. Situated at the iconic Kangaroo Point cliffs, the residences will offer panoramic view of the city and the Brisbane River. The project will feature 76 private residences, a 24-hour onsite concierge, spa, providore-style dining venues and a rooftop garden with private function rooms. The construction will commence in Q4 of 2016 and is scheduled to be completed in early 2019, which the Queensland-headquartered Watpac will oversee. The AUD$150 million (US$114m) development has sold over a quarter of its residences during the pre-launch period to local, interstate and current Banyan Tree owners. In addition, Banyan Tree has announced another investment of a beachfront site on the Surfers Paradise in Gold Coast, which will be one of the groups largest undertakings by far.

HK CTS Hotels to Release a New Brand ‘Kew Green’

HK CTS Hotels Co., Ltd will release a new midscale brand ‘Kew Green’ on 13 September. Integrating British-style affordable luxury with the Chinese traditional culture, the brand is designed for the Post-80s and Post-90s generations or white-collar workers and young people with overseas study experience. The sample Kew Green hotel is scheduled to open in Hong Kong by the end of November 2016, with plans to selectively look for investors in key cities of mainland China. Considering the consumption level, Kew Green hotels are ideal to be built in central places of first-tier cities. HK CTS Hotels Co., Ltd successfully acquired Kew Green Hotels, Britain’s second largest third-party hotel management company, in August 2015.
