Dedicated to honing the next generation of hoteliers and restaurateurs in South East Asia, EHL and Thailand’s Dusit International have partnered to create a hospitality management college in the Philippines: the Dusit Hospitality Management College (DHMC).
DHMC’s unique curriculum was developed with support and expertise from two trusted entities in the hospitality industry, allowing future graduates to receive an internationally certified degree in hospitality management that will make them qualified to embark on an international professional career. The school will also be offering a culinary program developed by Dusit and Institut Paul Bocuse.
The first college of its kind in the region to fully integrate a hotel within its school, DHMC will be managed by one director overseeing the hotel’s General Manager and the school’s Dean.
With a capacity of 1,000 students, the campus will also include practical kitchens, classrooms, a learning restaurant and IT laboratories, while the hotel â€" as part of the dusitD2 brand emphasizing on cutting-edge design, high-tech connectivity and modern convenience, will feature 120 rooms, all-day dining, a pool bar, function rooms, as well as a fitness room and swimming pool.
Currently under construction, the school is expected to open during the summer of 2017. The Lausanne Hospitality Consulting entity of EHL Group is supporting this opening with faculty recruitment and training, approval of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), as well as the launch of future education programs for executives and young hoteliers.
