Shangri-La International Hotel Management Limited and Golden Concord Holdings Limited signed an agreement in relation to the management of Jinji Lake Shangri-La, Suzhou.

Scheduled to open at the end of 2017, the hotel, standing at 140 metres tall, will form part of the upscale Xiexin Plaza complex that comprises 249,731 square metres of luxury living and a grade A office tower in Suzhou Industrial Park.

Located in the heart of the city’s new central business district, Jinji Lake Shangri-La, Suzhou is close to the International Expo Centre, the Cultural & Art Centre and Times Square.

The hotel will present a combined inventory of 328 guestrooms and serviced apartments with panoramic views of the skyline and premier dining, leisure and conference facilities.

Just 40 minutes by high speed train from Shanghai, Suzhou is a major city located in the south eastern Jiangsu Province of East China, about 100 km northwest of Shanghai. It is a major economic centre and focal point of trade and commerce with over 2,500 years of history and an abundant display of relics and sites of historical interest.

“We are delighted to sign this partnership with Golden Concord Holdings Limited to manage a hotel in the city’s new central business district,” said Shangri-La President and CEO Greg Dogan. “This project provides the group an opportunity to further expand our brand portfolio in China and the city of Suzhou.”
