Rezidor's opens 2nd Park Inn by Radisson in Brussels, adds Gabon and re-opens Radisson Blu Hotel, Bamako.

Rezidor announces the Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Airport in Belgium, the mid-scale property with 163 guest rooms is scheduled to open in Q1 2017. It is Rezidor’s second Park Inn by Radisson in Brussels, and brings the group’s total room count in the Belgian capital city to 4 hotels with 735 rooms in operation and under development.

“We are delighted to add an airport hotel to our growing portfolio in Brussels where also our corporate support office is located. Brussels Airport reports steady growth and serves 22 million passengers per year. It is surrounded by a dynamic corporate environment that offers additional business opportunities for the new Park Inn by Radisson”, said Wolfgang M. Neumann, President & CEO of Rezidor.

“This project is in line with our strategy to accelerate growth in European capital cities and to create Park Inn by Radisson clusters to leverage operational and commercial synergies while unlocking shareholder value to our partners”, added Elie Younes, Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer of Rezidor.

The Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Airport will be located in the Diegem business district. A shuttle service will connect the hotel with the terminals that are 2.4km away. The building currently hosts offices " after conversion it will comprise 163 guest rooms, an all-day-dining restaurant and a lobby bar & lounge. 7 conference rooms, a business & crew lounge, a gym, and underground parking spaces will complement the offer.

Brussels has 1.8 million inhabitants and is a major centre for international politics: it is home to principle EU institutions and the NATO headquarters. Over the past decades, Brussels has positioned itself as one of the main business hubs in Europe, and hosts today 50,000 business of which 2,000 are foreign. Rezidor already operates the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Brussels and the Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Midi, and develops the Radisson RED Brussels that is scheduled to open in April 2016.

The Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Airport will be operated by The Rezidor Hotel Group.

Radisson Blu Okoume Palace Hotel opens in Libreville, Gabon

Radisson Blu, the  iconic hotel brand driven by innovation and design, announces its latest opening in Gabon "  Radisson Blu Okoume Palace Hotel, Libreville.

The Radisson Blu Okoume Palace Hotel, Libreville boasts a scenic  location by the Atlantic Ocean, providing quick beach access and gorgeous  views. Conveniently situated on the Boulevard de Nice, this hotel puts guests  near city attractions and the airport, which is just 2 kilometers away.

The hotel features 330 rooms with designer furnishings and convenient  elements like a mini bar and 24-hour room service. Two convenient dining  options and two stylish bars include Restaurant Olatano which serves generous breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets,  as well as Restaurant Amaya which  offers upscale a-la-carte dining with a global flavor. Conveniently situated in  the hotel lobby, the Wai Bar is a  popular spot for locals and hotel guests. The modern atmosphere features bold  colors and creative lighting with a beachfront setting. Guests can also opt for  the more casual Pool Bar for drinks or snacks throughout the day.

 The meeting rooms in Libreville encompass versatile design able to  accommodate small groups of 10-80 delegates or a lavish gala for 700 guests.  Upscale conference facilities come furnished with state-of-the-art technology and  our signature Brain Box and Brain Food offer. Meeting hosts may also  utilize the assistance of dedicated event planners to assist with organization  and details like catering and decorations. The hotel also provides a  fully-equipped fitness center with cardiovascular machines, weights, and  relaxation facilities as well as access to the lap pool and kid’s pool. An  infinity pool is due to be added in early 2016.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Bamako reopens

Radisson Blu is pleased to announce the re-opening of Radisson Blu Hotel, Bamako, after the devastating terrorist attacks that took place on 20th November 2015.

“We are grateful to the President of Mali, Mr Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, and our owner Mr Kome Cesse, for all the support they have given to the employees and guests, and to help us re-open the hotel in such a short time. We would also like to thank the BMS Bank for their quick financial assistance required to re-open the hotel,” said Gary Ellis, General Manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Bamako.
