Centrally located in the Piazza della Republica shopping area, and just north of Brera, the city’s vibrant design district, ME Milan Il Duca was originally designed by globally renowned late architect, Aldo Rossi, the hotel’s Radio Rooftop Bar will offer panoramic views of the Milanese skyline.

The property occupies the site of the former l’Hotel Duca di Milano, which has been renovated by Rossi’s studio to become a cosmopolitan hub with modern interiors. ME Milan Il Duca is also in close proximity of the breathtaking Quadrilatero della Moda and the trendy Corso Como area.

The hotel is a fusion of traditional and contemporary Italian design with seductive furniture, neutral colours and urbane textures. ME Milan Il Duca offers 132 exquisitely designed, modern rooms, including 32 renowned Chic Suites, a Personality Suite and a Suite ME. Situated on the first floor, the Personality Suite and Suite ME both have an impressive 100 square metre private terrace overlooking the Piazza della Repubblica.

ME Milan Il Duca will showcase furniture designed by the late architects, Gio Ponti and Luca Meda, who worked in collaboration with Aldo Rossi. Renowned industrial designer, Achille Castiglioni, also created the floor lamps throughout the hotel, with imagery by Madrid-based fashion photographer, Alberto Van Stokkum. His work focuses on icons from the world of music and fashion and will be permanently and exclusively exhibited throughout the hotel.

ME by Meliá hotels are renowned for their breathtaking rooftop spaces. ME London’s Radio Rooftop Bar, which is the brand’s flagship hotel and launched in March 2013, has become one of the hottest bars in London with breathtaking views of the city’s skyline.  Following its huge success ME by Meliá is set to open its second Radio Rooftop Bar in the fashion capital, attracting Milan’s chic crowds.

Located on the tenth floor and accessible via an exclusive express lift, Radio Rooftop Bar offers spectacular panoramic views of the Milanese skyline, including the new towers in the Garibaldi area. Open daily from 12pm until late, the rooftop bar features international tapas and an extensive cocktail list. Guests can relax to lounge beats and deep-house music from top DJs. It is the only rooftop bar, lounge and terrace in the Piazza della Repubblica area.

ME Milan Il Duca will also boast the first Italian branch from contemporary restaurant STK, an established favourite amongst international diners. STK Milan’s menu will offer a selection of steaks and grills in an elegant setting. The alfresco restaurant, Il Giardino del Duca, provides an all day dining menu available until 6pm. In the evening the 40-cover terrace will serve à la carte dishes from STK.

The hotel also has two flexible meeting rooms measuring a total of 100 square metres, available for events and conferences. It offers the latest audio-visual equipment and complimentary Wi-Fi for guests and visitors. A 24- hour fitness centre is also located on the ground floor.

ME by Meliá is for cultured, fashionable guests who are driven by new experiences and opportunities.  The ME brand is known for its first-rate concierge service; guests can experience the best of Milan through a dedicated Aura Manager, who is devoted to making each stay unforgetable.
