IHG annouces a new Holiday Inn Express® in Belem, Brazil.

InterContinental Hotels Group announces the signing of a new-build Holiday Inn Express® hotel in Belem, Brazil; 

Slated to open mid-2016, the 128-room property will be located between the Nazaré and Umazairal neighborhoods, in a very well-known area near downtown Belem. The new property will be IHG’s third property in the city, joining the Crowne Plaza® Belemhotel and Holiday Inn Express® Belem Ananindeua hotel. IHG has 17 hotels open and nine hotels in the development pipeline in Brazil.

The Holiday Inn Express Belem Nazaré hotel is in close proximity to two shopping malls and the city’s best restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Nearby tourist attractions include the Mangal das Garças, a natural reserve with native Amazonian plant and animal species, and “Estação das Docas,” which was created from the restoration of the Old Port of Belem and now boasts 18,000 square meters of urbanized area on the waterfront promenade with various restaurants and stores.

The hotel offers guests a comfortable, yet affordable stay with innovative, preferred guest upgrades to ensure a pleasurable experience with amenities that include a 24-hour fitness center, complimentary high-speed Internet access, a business center, 1,500 square feet of meeting spaces and complimentary parking. Business travelers will find large desks with ergonomic chairs and free local and toll free phone calls with voicemail access.

Guestrooms will feature contemporary styling, a 32-inch HD LED TV, comfortable twin, queen or king-sized beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair and an in-room coffee machine. The complimentary Express Start™ breakfast bar features a full range of breakfast items, including regional and local dishes, a rotation of egg and meat selections, breads, yogurt, juices, fruit, pastries, cereals and coffee.

The hotel is owned and managed by Price Investimentos e Participações Ltda., a company of MB Capital Group, and is franchised by an affiliate of IHG.
