One&Only Opens Luxury Resort in Australia

One&Only Hayman Island opens as a new luxury private resort located in the Great Barrier Reef, Australia. After its multimillion facelift, the resort assumes the same management of the former Hayman, Great Barrier Reef Resort. Some changes made in areas such as the resort's Pool Wing which has been configured to suites living spaces and this also allow the resort to offer further accommodation types. Tailoring to different interests of its guests, One&Only Hayman Island provides a KidsOnly Club and Teens Club separately. The resort believes that with its transformational refurbishment, an extraordinary service level provided by it will redefine luxury travel in the Land Down Under.

Golden Myanmar Airlines to fly to Imphal

With one goal of promoting tourism, Myanmar and India are working together to implement a new charter service linking Mandalay and northeast state of Manipur. Golden Myanmar Airlines' commencement of a twice-weekly charter service on Airbus A320 and a 69-seater ATR 72-690 aircraft will take off on July 3 as the airline finalises preparations with Indian authorities. Tax on aviation turbine fuel and visa requirement are expected to be reduced to encourage visitation of Myanmar travellers into India.

Tune Hotels Expands Quickly in Philippines

200 roomed Tune Hotel Aseana City is the 9th hotel to open in the Philippines within the last two years. Owned and operated by Red Planet Hotels, the hotel is located in the heart of Manila's newly precinct: Paranaque, Aseana City. A 10th property is soon to follow as Tune Hotel Ayala Avenue will open in November with 189 rooms. Red Planet Hotels emphasise that the Philippines is the perfect platform for expansion of Tune Hotels because of the country's acceptance and embracing of new and inspiring brands that enable travel to the wider population.

AirAisa Makes a Comeback to Japan

Tony Fernandes makes his announcement on 1st July on the return of a new subsidiary, AirAsia Japan in 2015 expectedly. The expansion strategy will follow AirAsia traditional development model. Starting with domestic flights, AirAsia Japan aims to cater to regional destinations eventually such as Taiwan, Korea, China and the Philippines. Its long term dream also includes flights to destinations such as Los Angeles, Guam and Hawaii in order to connect Asia with the rest of the world on a one-stop offer.

UIA Deems Top MICE City - Singapore

Union of International Associations (UIA) has globally crowned Singapore as the world's foremost city and country for international meetings, titles which have been held for the third and seventh year running respectively. The Meetings segment contributes the highest proportion at 55.4 per cent of total economic impact. Beyond the direct economic benefits, MICE also contributed in terms of networking opportunities, branding of Singapore and cross-industry skill sharing. Singapore has six world congresses in its pipeline to date and it followed behind by the United States and Brussels.
