Airline IT Trends Survey 2014 & Infographic.
Wednesday, 16th July 2014
Source : SITA
The 2014 Airline IT Trends Survey shows a continued, though modest, upward trend in IT investment by airlines, a sustained recovery with strong recognition of technology's impact.

This trend mirrors not only the improving industry fundamentals, but also greater recognition of the value IT can bring to airlines and their customers.

This year's survey also takes an in-depth look at the continued rise of mobile technology and further advances in self-service solutions.

The rise of mobile technology once again dominates the IT landscape, as it has for the last few years. But has it lived up to the expectations set four years ago in our 2010 survey?

The benefits of self-service solutions are clear: reductions in traveler stress, airport congestion and costs. So it's no surprise that we're seeing a steady progression of global adoption among passengers.

But adoption levels vary widely among airlines. And with self-service options for check-in and baggage on the rise, what will be the next frontier for self-service?
