Nine top hotels in the pipeline in the Olympia metropolis Rio de Janeiro – Olympic Summer Games in August 2016.
Within the Fifa World Cup fever the preparation for the next touristic event in Brazil are ongoing: in August 2016 the Olympic Summer Games will take place in Rio de Janeiro. This event will attract lots of visitors from around the world to the Sugar Loaf Mountain and to the largest South American country.
Expansion of hospitality continues. According to TOPHOTELPROJECTS, the worldwide leading provider of global b2b hotel data, currently 51 new large hotels are in the pipeline in Brazil.
Only in Rio de Janeiro nine new hotels with about 2,000 rooms will arise.
One of the most outstanding projects is the Trump Hotel with 171 rooms, which will open its doors in January 2016.
The hotel tower with 13 floors arises at one of the most beautiful beaches at Rio and will get luxury furniture according to plans of the Rockwell Group.
With the Trump Rio de Janeiro the Trump Hotel Collection (right) is expanding to South America for the first time. But there is already a property in Panama.
Another top hotel is arising in Sao Paolo: in June 2015 a Four Seasons Hotel with 150 rooms and suites will open its doors. In September a new Ritz Carlton Hotel (310 rooms) will be inaugurated in Barra da Tijuca.
In October the opening of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Rio de Janeiro (436 rooms) will take place. Another Four Seasons Resort (153 rooms) is currently under construction in Recife, opening is scheduled for April 2016.
