Real Estate Investors love hotels: Germany is the biggest EU country and internationally as a hotel market with outstanding forecasts: 309 new hotels are being built in Germany.
This is evident from the current hotel construction data from TOPHOTELPROJECTS, the leading information provider for hotel chains and hotel construction projects, out.
Around 350 new hotels have opened in the last five years in Germany. Thereof every fourth hotel room in the capital Berlin. And the construction boom continues unabated.
There are currently built 24 new homes in Berlin, in Hamburg even come 25 new hotels on the market. The next new opening is in the Hansestadt city, the Swissotel near Central Station, a so-called New Generation hotel with top international design and smart concept.
In Munich, there are currently 19 hotel construction projects in process. The latest project in the Bavarian capital is a hotel for the employees of BMW (270 rooms). With interest, the launch of the first low-budget hotels of the Wyndham brand "Super 8" follows: the 160-room house is inaugurated in the fall of 2015.
Strong growth continues to be expected from low budget hotel chains. B & B opened in the last five years, 39 new homes, and most recently a 147-room hotel in Munich West.
A further twelve hotel projects are in development. Motel One has recently taken 29 new hotels in operation, nine hotel openings are in process. Accor's Super Hotel Ibis brand emblazoned on about 20 new homes that recently started - 17 hotel construction projects will follow.
By the end of the year 67 new hotels will be opened in Germany, including a business hotel of the Althoff second brand Ameron (right) in Hamburg (192 Rooms / September 2014) and a house of Starwood designer brand item at Frankfurt / Main Airport (133 rooms / September 2014).
