Starwood in partnership with Greenland Group announced the debut of Four Points by Sheraton Hefei, Shushan – the first Four Points hotel to open in the capital of Anhui Province.

Starwood Hotels’ Four Points brand currently offers what is best for business at 22 hotels across Greater China and expects to double its portfolio in this rapidly developing market by 2018.

“Four Points is one of Starwood’s growth leaders in China, particularly in secondary and tertiary cities where the demand for well-known global brands is on the rise,” said Qian Jin, President, Greater China, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. “We are proud to offer business and leisure travelers to Hefei the chance to enjoy the stylish comfort, genuine service and popular perks that have made Four Points a hit in markets worldwide.”

Four Points by Sheraton Hefei, Shushan (below, right) is the first Four Points hotel to open in China in 2014 and will be followed by six more over the next 12 months. Four Points boasts Starwood’s second largest development pipeline in China, following Sheraton, which has laid the groundwork for Four Points’ rapid growth across the region.

The hotel overlooks Swan Lake and is convenient to office buildings, shopping malls, restaurants, and entertainment, as well as Hefei Municipal Government offices, Hefei Olympic Sports Center, Hefei Grand Theater and Anhui Broadcast and Television Center. Guests are just 14 miles from the heart of downtown, five miles from the Hefei high-speed Rail Station, and one hour by high-speed train to Nanjing.

The hotel features 271 sophisticated guest rooms and suites, and surprising perks such as complimentary bottled water, fast and free WiFi throughout the property, and fresh coffee in the lobby, in addition to a range of cuisine at its three restaurants and offers 12 private dining rooms, with the largest one accommodating up to 20 guests. At the end of a day of sightseeing or business meetings, guests can choose from a wide selection of local and imported craft beers in the Lounge, as part of the brand’s signature Best Brews program.

“Four Points is a terrific new addition to Hefei and will appeal to the independent traveler with its stylish design and unexpected extras,” said Jeffery Leng, General Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Hefei, Shushan. “As the first Four Points property to open in the capital of Anhui Province, we look forward to welcoming travelers who are both familiar and loyal to our brand as well as those enjoying their first visit to a Four Points.”

Ideal for both business and social functions, Four Points offers 17,599 square feet of flexible, state-of-the-art meeting and banquet space for up to 1,000 people. In addition, the hotel provides on-site catering services and has implemented Starwood’s Sustainable Meetings Practices to minimize environmental impact. Additional facilities include a spa, fitness center, indoor heated swimming pool and gaming room.
