IHG announcesthat it has opened Hotel Indigo Düsseldorf - Victoriaplatz at the centre of this fashion-forward German city, renowned for its style credentials.

Hotel Indigo Düsseldorf-Victoriaplatz will operate under a franchise agreement with LFPI Hotels Management Germany GmbH. The hotel will be the third Hotel Indigo property in Germany, alongside Hotel Indigo Berlin – Alexanderplatz and Hotel Indigo Berlin – Ku'Damm.

As IHG's boutique brand, every Hotel Indigo property is designed to reflect the local neighbourhood.  From the building design to the hotel's artwork and locally-inspired menus, each Hotel Indigo hotel is unique to its surroundings.

Hotel Indigo Düsseldorf – Victoriaplatz's 126 individually designed bedrooms take inspiration from the local area with statement furniture, luxurious bedding and vibrant colours. Each floor pays tribute to a different decade of fashion from the 50s through to the 2000s, illustrated through the fabrics and patterns used. Murals, shot by fashion photographer and stylist Armin Morbach, are visible throughout the hotel, showcasing iconic designs from the relevant decades, depicting the fashion industry's growth from the 50s to present day.

Guests can enjoy the city's glamorous lifestyle lounging in the hotel's idyllic garden terrace or enjoy a famous Altbier (a local ale and a must-try in Düsseldorf) in the sumptuous cocktail lounge. A dress kitchen and bar uses seasonal ingredients to create their fashion-focused menu with dishes from the Rhine region and an eclectic wine and cocktail list. Guests can make use of the free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and enjoy their own selection of music through the iPod docking station in their bedroom. All bedrooms will be provided with a minibar, 32 inch LCD TV and high comfort mattress.

Located amongst the glamour and charm of the fashion capital, Hotel Indigo Düsseldorf – Victoriaplatz provides an ideal base for exploring this stylish city. The hotel is situated amongst some of the city's most iconic fashion exhibitions including the NRW Forum, where the first Igedo fashion fair was launched in the 50s, just a short walk away from two of the biggest fashion trade shows and The Gallery which showcases the latest fashion-related products and designs.

The Hotel Indigo brand was launched in the United States in 2004, making it one of IHG's youngest brands. IHG, one of the world's leading hotel companies, has a broad family of nine brands in nearly 100 countries and territories to meet the needs of guests, whatever the occasion. Hotel Indigo offers guests the individuality of a boutique hotel but with the benefits and reassurance of a big hotel company.
