US hotel company opens its 4000th hotel – more than 330 new hotels with +72,000 rooms in the pipeline.
Hilton Worldwide strengthens its worldwide expansion: the US hotel company recently opened its 4000th property – the Hilton Shijiazhuang in China.
According to TOPHOTELPROJECTS, the worldwide leading provider of global b2b hotel data, currently 334 hotel projects with more than 72,600 rooms are in the pipeline.
China further remains in the focus of the Hilton expansion. Currently the hotel company operates 35 properties in the Middle Kingdom. In Asia's largest hotel market 31 new hotels with more than 9,000 rooms are under construction. Hilton plans to develop up to 120 new properties with more than 42,000 rooms in China within the next years.

Besides Conrad, Waldorf Astoria counts as an outstanding hotel brand by Hilton Worldwide. After the opening of a super luxury hotel by the brand Waldorf Astoria in Berlin, further three hotels should open their doors until the beginning of next year: in October a new property with personal butler service, a 18-hole championship golf course as well as a helicopter landing field will open in the Emirate Ras Asl Khaimah (United Arab Emirates).
In November the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem in Israel (220 rooms) should be inaugurated. Early next year the Astoria Amsterdam in the Netherlands will open its doors – the luxury hotel will combine six historical palaces from the 18th century.
Further Waldorf Astoria Hotels will arise within the next years in Peking (planned opening: 2014), Dubai Palm Jumeirah (2014), Doha (2015), Bangkok (2016), Chengdu (2016), Hainan Boating Resort (2016), Sanya (2017), Crete Sitia Bay (2020) and Montreal (2020)
