In the first ten months of 2012, Cambodia has attracted approximately 2.86 million foreign tourists, an increase of 24% over the same period in 2011.

Vietnam remains the largest source market for Cambodia accounting for approximately 22% of international arrivals, followed by South Korea at 12% and China at 9%.

Cambodia's neighbouring countries, Laos and Thailand, accounted for approximately 7% and 6% of foreign arrivals respectively. The tourism ministry anticipates a total of 3.3 million foreign tourists by 2012, and by 2020 total arrivals to Cambodia are targeted to reach seven million foreign visitors.
