Exclusive Feature: What do Alfred Hitchcock, Woody Allen and Paul Newman have in common?

Aside from the fact that they've made some of the most memorable movies of our time, they also used the same prop: a member property from The Leading Hotels of the World.

Just in time for the Academy Awards, and in honor of the portfolio's 85th anniversary, The Leading Hotels of the World released their list of hotels that starred in some of our favorite major motion pictures.

Did you know that The Ritz London was one of the interiors used in the romantic comedy, "Notting Hill", or that over 100 items from Room 512 of Ritz Paris was recreated for Tom Hanks' thriller "The DaVinci Code"?

The new website, www.lhw.com/InTheMovies, chose 85 different hotels featured in iconic films to showcase for guests, and get them inspired to recreate their favorite big screen moments.

While munching on popcorn and Good-n-Plenty's, I took a read through the new website and found some great visitor tips and deals at "starring" hotels:

Hotel le Bristol in Paris was the check-in location for "Midnight in Paris", Woody Allen's award-winning film. The hotel offers a Midnight in Paris Package that includes accommodation for two in a Superior Room, a glass of champagne, a tasting menu for two at their 3-Michelin star restaurant, Epicure, and daily American breakfast for two.

In Las Vegas, The Bellagio is one of the most iconic properties on the strip, and also the site of one of the most beloved crime-comedies of 2001, "Ocean Eleven." You can check out almost all of the locations featured in Ocean's Eleven, but there have been some changes since 2001.  The grand staircase that — Julia Roberts' character descends in her first scene —has been removed to make room for the new Spa Tower, and the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art has been moved to another location within the resort. You'll still be able to enjoy the illuminated fountains and the Picasso restaurant, where you can request to sit at the table where George Clooney and Julia Roberts' characters shared a cocktail.

Hotel Cipriani in Venice was one of the hotels featured in "Casino Royale" (the other was Palazzo Vendramin). Guests of the hotel can engage in a Movie Dream walking tour, which highlights various spots throughout the city that were featured in the movie. The hotel is also opening a Wall of Fame, which will feature pictures of their famous guests and movie appearances.

Check out the website for more hotels and their A-list appearances, then check in to relive your favorite movie memories, or order up room service and spend a day catching up on your favorite flicks. Whatever the case, you can be sure to see many more hotels star in upcoming movies.
