Townhouse Hotel: Best new concept.
Tuesday, 15th December 2009
Source : Townhouse Hotel Maastricht

Townhouse Hotel Maastricht was voted the undisputed winner, because of its innovative hotel concept, the translation of this concept into the hotel's interior design, the comprehensive product range and excellent service.

Both Townhouse and the other nominees were selected ‘venues’ by a professional jury that appeared in VENUEZ Hospitality & Style Magazine in the past eighteen months.

The innovative La Bergère Group, ‘creator’ of surprising hotel concepts as Qbic Hotels, is responsible for the Townhouse Hotel concept. La Bergère Group has already succeeded in winning the award for Best New Hotel Concept: Qbic Hotels Amsterdam WTC received it in 2007.

What is so special about Townhouse Maastricht?

"We turn everyday things into something special. The entire focus is on hominess, which you can 'taste' as soon as you access the entry area, which has been furnished as a kitchen. A kettle with typical Maastricht soup is waiting for all the guests. This is one of the many characteristics of Townhouse Hotel Maastricht. Townhouse gives hominess a new purpose and is truly being innovative." says Rino Soeters, Director of La Bergère Hospitality Group.

The Townhouse Hotel Maastricht concept is based on experiencing hominess. It is all about "having a warm and cosy stay" in Maastricht.

The guests are travellers who are averse to imitation and who are after an original experience. The hotel is a relief to the modern traveller, because the authentic basis has surprising details, comfort, integrated self service and all the modern conveniences you can expect from a hotel.

The designers knew they were working on something "exceptionally simple" and it resulted in something "simply exceptional". This concept is as firm as a rock. The translation to the interior has been performed by Tim Derhaag, a price winning designer with his own studio in London. He is responsible for the design of Townhouse Hotel Maastricht.

Can we describe Townhouse in a nutshell? ‘We make something special out of daily objects’, tells Rino Soeters, Director of La Bergère Group.

‘Everything is focused on hominess and you can "taste" that feeling as soon as you enter the reception, which is furnished as a kitchen.
