From January 1 next year, Qatar Airways will begin flights from Singapore to Bali, giving the carrier a compelling business-plus offering for incoming passengers.

For travelers from Doha, the carrier will fly daily Doha-Singapore-Bali, while due to landing right, it will sell Bali flights for Singapore passengers four days a week.

"There's a lot of interest in Bali. We've been flying to Bali from Kuala Lumpur, but we are doing some reorganisation of our network to improve our capacity," said area manager - Singapore, Alan Chua.

"Bali's a popular destination, especially with expats, and MICE business. That's the feedback we've received from the trade," he said.

The move will bring additional capacity to Indonesia, as the airline will also launch direct non-stop daily flights from Doha to Jakarta. Loads out of Singapore to the Middle East are currently at over 90%, he said.

The airline has been at ITB Asia for the first time, showcasing its business class seats on carrier's Boeing-777 aircraft, and the carrier's inflight service.

"ITB Asia has been very good – it's increasing the awareness of our products and services," said Chua.
