THE AMERICAS 

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has promoted Brian Povinelli to Global Brand Leader for Westin Hotels & Resorts. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Brand Management for Starwood's North America division. He replaces Nancy London, who leaves Starwood after ten years to join new startup Style for Hire, co-founded by her sister, Stacy London.  

InterContinental Hotels Group's Andrew Cosslett will step down as Chief Executive to be succeeded by Richard Solomons. Solomons has been a Board member since 2003 and was most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Commercial Development for the company.

After three years at Hotels AB, Ian Nicholson has joined Faena Hotels as Chief Executive Officer and Partner, based in New York. He was most recently the Vice President Hotel Operations for André Balazs. He is the former General Manager of the Soho Grand, the Tribeca Grand and Hudson.

Michael Gross, a member of Morgans' Board of Directors since 2009, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Morgans Hotel Group. The Cornell graduate had previously held executive positions with Prentice Capital Management, Lehman Brothers and Salomon Smith Barney.

Morgans Hotel Group has named Daniel Flannery Chief Operating Officer. He most recently served as a Managing Director at Marriott International and had spent seven years as Vice President and Area General Manager for Ritz-Carlton.

Pascal Forotti has been promoted to General Manager and is transferring to the Four Seasons Costa Rica. Since 2008, he had been the Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons New York. He is a former General Manager of the InterContinental Toronto Yorkville.  

Liam Doyle heads to Arizona to take over as General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain. He was most recently in Dublin as General Manager for the Shelbourne Hotel. He is the former Hotel Manager for the Ritz-Carlton South Beach, and Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage for the Ritz- Carlton Buckhead.

David Lemmond has moved to New York to take over the Standard as General Manager. He was most recently at the Standard Downtown Los Angeles as General Manager. He had previously served as General Manager at the Chamberlain in West Hollywood and as Assistant General Manager at the Viceroy in Santa Monica.

Jan Henningsen takes over for Lemmond as General Manager at the Standard Downtown Los Angeles. He was most recently overseeing the Standard Hollywood. He is a former Director of Food and Beverage for the Mondrian.

Shai Zelering has transferred as General Manager to the London West Hollywood. The Cornell graduate was most recently in the same position for the London New York.

Albert Mertz has moved over as General Manager to the SLS South Beach to oversee the renovation of the former Ritz Plaza, due to reopen in 2012. He was most recently the Hotel Director for the W South Beach. He is the former General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London and the Hotel Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Miami.

The Gramercy Park Hotel has named Scott Koster General Manager. He was most recently the Director of Operations at the Plaza Hotel. He is the former Director of Rooms for the Waldorf=Astoria New York.

Olivia Brown has been appointed General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia. She was most recently with the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead as Hotel Manager.

Jon McGavin returns to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for the third time, taking on his newest post as General Manager. He had previously served the resort as Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage from 2003 to 2005 and as Hotel Manager from 2005 to 2007. He is the former General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead.

The Loews Denver has named Stephen Cummings General Manager. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson.

The Pines Lodge has appointed Bill Macfarlane General Manager. He was most recently with the Inn and Suites at Riverwalk as General Manager. He is the former General Manager at the Inn at Beaver Creek (now the Osprey at Beaver Creek).

Nils Stolzlechner has joined the Omni Dallas as General Manager. For the last four years, he served as General Manager of the Omni Corpus Christi. He is the former Director of Operations at the Omni San Francisco and the Omni Los Angeles.

Mark Harney has been appointed as General Manager for both the Marriott Harbour Point and the Marriott Sunset Pointe in Shelter Cove on Hilton Head Island. He was most recently the Assistant General Manager at the SpringHill Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista.

Don Fraser has been appointed General Manager for the Royal Palm in Miami Beach. He had previously served concurrently as Denihan Hospitality Group Corporate Director of Operations and General Manager of the Affinia Dumont in New York City.

Alex Spektor moves as General Manager to the Affinia Dumont in Murray Hill, replacing Fraser. Spektor was most recently the General Manager of the Affinia Gardens.

Replacing Spektor at Affinia Gardens is new General Manager Glenda Maldonado. She was most recently the Assistant General Manager of the Affinia Dumont.  

George Drepaul remains in Murray Hill and takes over as General Manager of the Affinia Shelburne. For the past five years, he had been the General Manager of the Eastgate Tower, also in Murray Hill.  

Philip Garcia replaces Drepaul as General Manager of the Eastgate Tower. Garcia was previously Director of Housekeeping at the Affinia Manhattan.
 
David Sharkey has been appointed General Manager of the Princeton Marriott Hotel at Forrestal. He has been with Marriott Hotels & Resorts for 24 years, most recently as General Manager of the Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel. 

Tom Shaver is the new General Manager for the Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center. He was most recently the Director of Lodging Operations for Callaway Gardens Resort in Georgia.  

Harry Lunt reopens the Cheshire Inn as General Manager. For the past two years, he had been at the Moonrise Hotel as Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously served in sales and marketing positions for the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera and the Waldorf=Astoria New York.

Mark Grebby has been named General Manager of LaSource in Grenada. He was most recently the General Manager for the Royal St. Lucia Hotel and is the former Resort Director at the Watergate Bay Hotel.

Joe Kelley has been named General Manager of the Landings St. Lucia, a RockResort.  He is the former Hotel Manager of the Osprey at Beaver Creek and Director of Hotel Operations at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa.

Pedro Sanchez will take the reins as General Manager of Balcones del Atlántico, a RockResort, in the Dominican Republic, slated to open this summer. He was most recently the General Manager for the Hotel Paracas in Peru.

Zachary Zoul has been named Managing Director of the soon-to-open Hotel Deco in Omaha. He is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cote Family Companies and Grand View Lodge resort.
 
Jeffery Albrecht has been appointed General Manager of the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel. He was most recently the General Manager at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel and Suites.

Mara Bouvier has joined Primland in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia as General Manager. For the past five years, she had been with the Chatham Bars Inn as Director of Food and Beverage. She is the former General Manager of the Tidewater Inn and Strawberry Hill Spa Resort.
 
Shaun Beucler has been promoted at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain to Hotel Manager. He had joined the property in 2008 as Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage.

The Four Seasons Mexico City has appointed Tom Shortt Hotel Manager. He had been previously running his own boutique hotel in Mexico City, the Hippodrome and restaurants under the name of Hip Kitchen. He is the former Director of Operations at the Sonesta Miami and General Manager at the David Williams Hotel.

David Child has moved up to Hotel Manager and joined the Ritz-Carlton Washington, D.C. He was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage at the Renaissance Washington, D.C.

Paul Cardona moves to Miami to take over as Deputy General Manager at Soho Beach House. For the past five years, he had been with the Park Hyatt Chicago, joining as Director of Food and Beverage before being promoted in 2009 to Executive Assistant Manager – Operations. He is the former Director of Food and Beverage for the Hotel Orrington and the Lodge at Vail.

Mark Bingle has been promoted to Resort Manager and joined the Four Seasons Carmelo. He was most recently Director of Residences for the Four Seasons Costa Rica Residence Club and Private Residences. He is the former Director of Housekeeping at the Four Seasons Prague.

Montage Hotels & Resorts has appointed Jason Herthel Vice President of Acquisitions and Development. He was most recently in Abu Dhabi as Senior Vice President of Project Development for the Viceroy Hotel Group. 

Yoav Gery has been appointed Chief Development Officer for Morgans Hotel Group. He was most recently Chief Development Officer at Marriott International.

Crescent Hotels & Resorts has appointed Adam Greene Senior Vice President of Development and Investments. He is the former Senior Vice President, Hospitality Finance, for Textron Financial. The Cornell graduate had previously served as Director of West LB and as Chief Financial Officer of the hedge fund Mistral International.

Marriott International has named Paul Adan Vice President of Development, based in Weston, Florida. He had previously served in various development positions for CB Richard Ellis and Aguirre Newman America.

Scott Hammons has joined Hilton Worldwide as Director of Project Management, New York. He had previously overseen the Hilton Washington, D.C. project for the Lowe Enterprises Real Estate Group and Destination Hotels and Resorts.

Playa Hotels & Resorts has named Omar Palacios Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. For the past eleven years, Palacios had been at Kerzner International, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for One&Only Resorts.

Rick LaValley has returned on-property as Director of Finance for the Omni Dallas. For the past three years, he was the Vice President of Finance for Omni Hotels & Resorts. He was previously the Director of Finance at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta.

Timothy Gustie has returned to Beverly Hills to take over as Director of Food and Beverage at the Beverly Hills Hotel. He was previously overseeing food and beverage for the Beverly Wilshire before taking on his most recent role of Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Santa Barbara.

Mitch Rosen has joined his former Peninsula boss, Ali Kasikci, as Director of Restaurants at the Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles. He had previously served as Director of Restaurants for the Peninsula Beverly Hills before moving into various food and beverage positions for the Lodge at Pebble Beach, Planet Hollywood Restaurants and Norwegian Cruise Line.

The Omni Dallas has appointed Charles Riley Director of Food and Beverage. Since 2004, he had served as Director of Food and Beverage at the Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West.

Michael Reginbogin has joined Vikram Chatwal Hotels as Director of Operations - Food and Beverage, for the Dream Hotel New York. He is the former Director of Operations for AMG 217 Atlantic and Sushi Samba, both in Miami.

The Orlando World Center Marriott has named Mark Beaupre Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently serving as Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef at the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes.

Connie Richey has joined the Avalon Beverly Hills as Director of Food and Beverage. Richey had been the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Beverly Hills Hotel for the past several years.

James Cannon is the new Director of Engineering for the Omni Dallas.  He is the former Director of Engineering for the Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West, and the Omni Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas.

Benchmark Hospitality has named Jeff Henschel Director of Information Technology. He is a former Vice President of Technology for Destination Hotels and Resorts.

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has named Sal Mendoza to the newly created position of Vice President of Global Diversity and Inclusion. He has been with Hyatt since 1997, in various aspects of human resources management.

The Omni Dallas has named Barbara Doucet Director of Human Resources. She was most recently part of the pre-opening team for the Omni Fort Worth.

The JW Marriott Starr Pass has appointed Carla Rine Director of Human Resources. She had previously served as Performance Development Manager with Marriott and Celebrity Cruises.

Jason Prost has been promoted to Director of Sales, overseeing both the Beverly Hills Hotel and soon-to-reopen Hotel Bel-Air. He was most recently the Director of Sales for the Hotel Bel-Air. He had previously overseen sales for the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills and the Four Seasons Westlake Village.

Tim Dupree has been named Associate Director of Sales and Marketing for the Montage Beverly Hills. Dupree was most recently the Regional Director of Sales, overseeing the Beverly Hills Hotel and the Hotel Bel-Air. He had previously served in various sales roles at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, the Beverly Wilshire and the Four Seasons Austin.

The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles and the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live have appointed William Buckley Director of Sales and Marketing, taking over from Karen Englund who is now in Orlando. Buckley had previously served in sales positions at the Anaheim Marriott and the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale. He had held various positions with the L.A. Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Ayzenberg Group, and Rogers & Cowan.

Karin Salinas Celiz has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for Rosewood Mayakoba based in Texas. She had previously overseen sales and marketing for the One&Only Palmilla and the Ritz-Carlton Doha.

Judith Dumrauf moves over as pre-opening Director of Marketing to the Four Seasons Baltimore. She was most recently in the same position for the Four Seasons Philadelphia.

Ann Armstrong is now at the Four Seasons Philadelphia as Director of Marketing taking over from Dumrauf. For the past seven years she had held the same position at the Four Seasons Punta Mita.  

Agnelo Fernandes has joined Terranea Resort as Vice President Sales and Marketing. He had previously served as President of Jade Resort Residences & Beach Club in Costa Rica.

Brigitte Diem-Guy has been appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing for SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts, based in Vancouver. She is the former Director of Sales, Corporate - for the Toronto Convention & Visitors Association and a Vice President with Meeting Canada.

Noble House Hotels has appointed Eric Gavin Vice President of Marketing. He was most recently with Morgans Hotel Group as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. He is the former Director of Sales and Marketing for the Loews Miami Beach Hotel and the Grove Isle Hotel & Spa.

The Stein Eriksen Lodge has appointed Timothy Rutland Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Beverly Hilton and has served in the same capacity for the L'Ermitage Beverly Hills, and the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey.

The Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel, Bel Air has appointed Pilar Abaya Ellis Director of Sales. She was most recently a Project Manager with Hospitality Task Force in Las Vegas. She was previously the Director of Sales for the former Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas.

The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau has appointed Kathy Smits Senior Director of Travel Industry Marketing. She most recently served as Executive Director of the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau for eight years and had previously served as Marketing Manager for the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has named Amy Devé Director of Travel Industry Sales – The Americas. She is the former Director of Leisure Sales for the Viceroy Hotel Group and had previously handled the corporate and leisure markets for the Mandarin Oriental Miami.
 
Denise Simmons has been appointed Director of Group and Corporate Sales – The Americas, for Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces. Most recently, she was responsible for overseeing the national sales efforts of Wynn Resorts. She had previously served as Director of Business Travel for the Renaissance Stanford Court Hotel and as Director of National Sales for the Kimpton Hotel Group.  

Tara Grand has joined Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces as Director of Western Region and Entertainment Sales – The Americas, based in Los Angeles. She was most recently with the Maybourne Hotel Group as the Los Angeles-based Regional Director of Sales, Western Region. Grand had previously spent nine years with Four Seasons in a variety of sales manager positions in the U.S. and the U.K.

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has named Bridget Tran Director of Marketing – The Americas. She was most recently the Director of Strategic Accounts for Twitter and had previously served as E-Marketing Manager at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

Kenneth Nason has been named Vice President of Sales for the One Ocean Resort Hotel & Spa in Florida. He had previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa, and Director of Sales for the Sheraton Bal Harbour Beach Resort.

Jess Johnson has joined the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University as Director of Sales and Marketing. Most recently he served as Director of National Accounts at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville.

David Chu has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Yotel New York. He was most recently the General Manager of the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor.

Troy Jones has been named Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Kimpton Hotels, overseeing the Hotel Palomar, Hotel Monaco and Hotel Serrano in San Francisco. Jones was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hotel Blake in Chicago and had previously overseen sales and marketing for the Chicago House of Blues Hotel and the Omni Orrington.

William Clarke has been promoted to Regional Director of Sales for the Davidson Hotel Company. Davidson is the property operator for the Hyatt Regency Newport Hotel & Spa in Rhode Island where Clarke was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Anant Joshi takes over from Clarke as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hyatt Regency Newport Hotel & Spa. He was most recently with Marriott International as Regional Director of Global Sales, Asia Pacific Region; and Area Director of Sales and Marketing, Caribbean and Latin America.

Susan Kussow has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hyatt Deerfield. She is the former Director of Sales and Marketing at the Wyndham O'Hare, the Wyndham Glenview Suites, and the Marriott Schaumburg. Kussow is coming home to Hyatt, a company she had left in 1987.

Kerry Schlaack has moved to the Hyatt Regency O'Hare as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently in the same position for the Hyatt Regency Boston.

Kierie Heim takes over from Schlaack as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hyatt Regency Boston. Heim was most recently with the Hyatt Regency Jersey City as Director of Sales.

Richard Oh has been promoted to Director of Sales at the Warwick Seattle Hotel. Oh joined the hotel in 2009 as Senior Sales Manager and was named Associate Director of Sales in 2010.

Barcelo Hotels & Resorts has appointed Scott Fields Regional Director of Meeting, Incentive Sales. Most recently, he was the Director of Group Sales for the Renaissance Palm Springs.

Joie de Vivre has named Roger Dryden Director of Leisure Sales for both the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach and the Pacific Edge Hotel in Laguna Beach. He had previously served as Senior Sales Manager for the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco.

Francine Rattenbury has joined the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village in St. Augustine as National Sales Manager. She was most recently a Senior Sales Manager for Windstream Communications and had previously served as a Sales Manager for the Shores Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach.

Julie Francis has joined the American Club Hotel in Wisconsin as Senior Sales Manager. She was most recently in the same position for the Hotel Hanford in Costa Mesa. She had previously served in sales positions for the Resort at Paws Up and the Belamar.

The Fairmont Washington, D.C. has appointed Brian Calder Director of Group Sales. He was most recently in the same position with the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Canada.

The Fairmont Turnberry Isle has appointed Alex Garcia Director of Leisure Sales. Most recently, he was a Global Account Director for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Miami. He had previously served as Director of Leisure Sales for the Sheraton Yankee Clipper and Sheraton Yankee Trader Beach Hotels in Fort Lauderdale.
 
Jeffrey Stutts has joined the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton at LA Live as Director of Event Planning. For the past four years, he had been with the Renaissance Hollywood as Director of Event Management.

Tiffany Lai has been named Director of Catering for the soon-to-reopen Hotel Bel-Air. She was most recently in the same role at Shutters on the Beach and Casa del Mar in Santa Monica.

Kimberly Baez has joined Terranea Resort as Director of Meetings and Special Events. She was most recently in the same position with the Langham Pasadena and for its former incarnation, the Ritz-Carlton Huntington. She had previously held various conference service positions for the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta and the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel.

John Cuevas has returned to Orange County to join the crow bar & kitchen in Corona Del Mar as Executive Chef.  He was the former chef for The Loft at the Montage Laguna Beach and Motif at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort before taking on his most recent post as Executive Chef at the Montage Beverly Hills.

The Montage Beverly Hills has named Gabriel Ask Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Sous Chef at the Resort at Pelican Hill. He had previously served in culinary roles for the Bellagio Hotel and Casino, Joël Robuchon at The Mansion, and Mix Las Vegas.

Ned Bell has been named Head Chef at Rosewood's Hotel Georgia in Vancouver. He was most recently in Kelowna, Canada as Co-Owner and Corporate Chef at Cabana Bar and Grille. He had previously run the kitchen at Peninsula Ridge Estate Winery and Murrieta's Grill.

Sébastien Archambault is moving over to oversee the kitchen at L'Epicerie in Culver City. He was most recently the Executive Chef for RH at the Andaz Hollywood.

The Riviera Palm Springs has named Aaron Burns Executive Chef for Circa 59. He was most recently Executive Chef at the Parker Palm Springs and is a former Sous Chef at Auberge du Soleil .

The Orlando World Center Marriott has named Greg Picard to the position of Executive Chef. He has been with Marriott for nearly 25 years, serving as Executive Chef at the Nashua Marriott, the Denver City Marriott, the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa and the New Orleans Marriott.

The Reefs Hotel in Bermuda has named Jason Koppinger Executive Chef. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Westin Casuarina Resort and Spa in the Cayman Islands. He is the former Executive Chef from the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort on Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Rajah Pillay has been named Executive Chef at the Verandah Resort & Spa in Antigua. He is the former Chef at the BodyHoliday, LeSPORT resort on St. Lucia.

The JW Marriott Grand Rapids has appointed Justin Dalenberg Executive Chef. His most recent post was as Executive Chef at the Snowmass Club in Colorado.  

Jason Johnston has returned to Las Vegas to take the position of Executive Sous Chef for the Bellagio. He was in a similar role with the resort before taking on culinary roles for the Pierre and the Hollywood Roosevelt. He was most recently with Shutters on the Beach as Executive Chef.

Jonathan Haffmans has joined the Chatham Bars Inn as Executive Sous Chef. He was most recently the Senior Sous Chef for the New York Palace.

Ramon Ramos has been named Executive Pastry Chef for the Orlando World Center Marriott. He has been with the Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Company for 19 years, previously serving as Executive Pastry Chef at the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott LA Live and the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis.

Siamack Nassirpour has joined the Four Seasons New York as Assistant Director of Rooms. He was previously with Omni in Los Angeles.

Florence Audinos is taking over for Simon Martin as Director of Rooms at the InterContinental Montreal. She was previously at the Delta Montreal as Executive Housekeeper.

Gary Lueck was appointed to the position of Front Office Manager at the JW Marriott Starr Pass. He was most recently at the Courtyard Denver Tech Center as General Manager, and previously worked with the Denver West Marriott as Director of Rooms Operations.

Sherrie Huebner has been named Spa Director for the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation. She was most recently Director of Spa Services for the Natural Wellness USA based in Arlington, Texas. She is a former Spa Director for the Lake Austin Spa Resort, and the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa.

EUROPE

Von Essen Hotels has named Charles Prew its first Chief Executive Officer. He was most recently the head of Barceló Hotels UK. He had previously held various posts with Jarvis Hotels and Hilton International.

Xavier Destribats has joined Kempinski as Senior Vice President Operations. He spent the past three and a half years with Tokyo-based Panorama Hospitality, following a 22-year career with Hyatt International.

Martin Rhomberg has been named General Manager of the Four Seasons Lion Palace St. Petersburg, slated to open late this year. Since 2008, he had served as General Manager at the Four Seasons Damascus. He is the former Resort Manager for the Four Seasons Costa Rica and the Four Seasons Punta Mita.  

Effective May 1, Guy Bertaud is the General Manager of the Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo, following two years as General Manager of the Vendôme Intercontinental in Beirut. Bertaud also spent five years as Deputy General Manager at Paris' Plaza-Athenée.

Carsten Fritz takes over from Oriol Montal as General Manager of the Abama Golf & Spa Resort. Fritz was most recently the General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Sharm El Sheikh. He is the former General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Country Club, Seoul and Hotel Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Millenia.

Kim Loan Le is the new General Manager of the Hotel Edouard 7 Paris Opéra. Loan Le was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager at the Hotel de Sers Paris.

The Stafford London by Kempinski has promoted Leon Baum to General Manager, taking over from Stuart Procter. Baum was most recently serving as the hotel's Resident Manager.

Emile Bootsma has joined the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus in Budapest as General Manager. Bootsma was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center.

Vincent Tissier, who had been the General Manager of Paris' Hotel Bel Ami since 2005, has joined La Réserve in Geneva as Deputy General Manager.

Kos Kaklidakis has been appointed Head of Entertainment Sales at the Maybourne Group, based in London. He was most recently a Senior Sales Manager with the Langham London.

Mélanie Baum returns to the Four Seasons Provence at Terre Blanche, taking on the role of Director of Rooms, succeeding Julien Pradels. Baum was previously part of the opening team for the resort as Front Office Manager. She was most recently overseeing Rooms Division at the Four Seasons Bora Bora.

Sean Mosher has been promoted to Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Hampshire. He joined the hotel in 2006 at the Front Office and was most recently the Assistant Director of Rooms.

At Paris' Hotel Bristol, David Virgo is the new Director of Housekeeping. He was previously the outsourced Director of Housekeeping for the Hilton Paris Arc de Triomphe.

At L'Abeille, the soon-to-open fine-dining restaurant of the Shangri-La Paris, Christophe Kelsch has been named Restaurant Manager. He was the Restaurant Manager at L'Espadon at the Hotel Ritz, following stints at the Hotel Vernet, the Four Seasons George V, the Plaza-Athénée and the Hôtel de Crillon.  

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Michael Branham is now General Manager for both the Four Seasons Bali at Jimbaran Bay and the Four Seasons Bali at Sayan. He was most recently the General Manager at the Four Seasons Tokyo at Marunouchi. He had previously served as Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Singapore and the Four Seasons Tokyo at Chinzan-so.

Daniel Simon returns to Tokyo to take over from Branham as General Manager of the Four Seasons Tokyo at Marunouchi. He had previously served as Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Tokyo Chinzan-so and was most recently at the Four Seasons Sydney as Hotel Manager. He is a former Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Bali at Jimbaran Bay and the Four Seasons Singapore.

Philippe Larrieu is now Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Langkawi. He was most recently at the Four Seasons Jakarta as Hotel Manager after serving as Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Silicon Valley.  

Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels has appointed Paul Tchen General Manager, Operations Planning and Support, based in Hong Kong. He was most recently the General Manager of the Peninsula Shanghai.

In addition, Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels has appointed P.T. Wong to the post of General Manager, Projects Group. He was most recently serving as General Manager, Project Coordination and Technical Services for the company.

David Batchelor moves back on property to the position of Managing Director at the Peninsula Shanghai. He was most recently based in Hong Kong at the corporate offices of Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels as General Manager, Operations Planning and Support. He is a former General Manager of the Peninsula Manila.

Joseph Chong has been promoted to General Manager at the Peninsula Shanghai, taking over from Paul Tchen. He joined the hotel in 2009 as pre-opening Hotel Manager. He is the former Executive Assistant Manager, Rooms, at the Peninsula Beijing and Resident Manager at the Peninsula Bangkok.

Sonja Vodusek has been appointed General Manager of the Peninsula Manila, taking over from Jonathan Crook. She was most recently the Hotel Manager of the Peninsula New York. She is a former General Manager at the Four Seasons Prague.

Danna Holck has been appointed General Manager for Turtle Bay Resort, a return to the island for the Oahu native. Holck was most recently serving as General Manager for the Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa in Rio Grande.  

Oriol Montal has moved as General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Osaka. He was previously the General Manager of the Abama Golf & Spa Resort in Tenerife, Spain.

Jean-Marc Poli has transferred to the Raffles Tianjin Hotel as General Manager. For the past two years, he had been the Hotel Manager for Raffles Singapore, after joining the hotel in 2008 as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage. He is the former Hotel Manager for the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka.
 
Laurent Branover has joined Raffles Singapore as Hotel Manager taking over from Poli. For the past two years, Branover had been at the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo as Resident Manager. He had previously overseen food and beverage for the Shangri-La Singapore and the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney.

David O'Hanlon has transferred as General Manager to the Grand Swiss-Belhotel Medan in Indonesia. He was most recently in the same position for the Swiss-Belhotel Borneo Samarinda.

Aurelio Giraudo has been appointed General Manager of the Best Western Premier Dua Sentral Kuala Lumpur , opening next August. He had previously served as General Manager of the Palmeraie Golf Palace Hotel in Marrakech. 

Paulo Chatterley de Matos has been appointed Hotel Manager in Bangkok for the Lebua at State Tower and Tower Club at Lebua. He was most recently the Rooms Division Manager at the Paradis Hotel & Golf Club on Mauritius.

Jack Work has been promoted to Hotel Manager and joined the Mercure Nadi in Fiji. He has been with Accor since 2005, most recently as Executive Assistant Manager at the Novotel Nadi.

Christian Gérart has joined Grand Melia Jakarta as Resident Manager. He was most recently the Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa.

Peter Scholz is the new Resident Manager at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa. He was most recently at the Banyan Tree Ungasan Bali as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage.

Kevin Kruse has joined the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa in Kuala Lumpur as Resident Manager. He is the former Executive Assistant Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain and the Ritz-Carlton San Juan.

Eric Capdevielle has joined the Four Seasons Resorts Lana‘i as Director of Finance for Manele Bay and the Lodge at Koele. He was most recently Director of Finance at Grace Bay's Veranda Resort & Residences in the Turks & Caicos and before that at Orient Express' Bora Bora Lagoon Resort & Spa in French Polynesia.  

Damian Cooper has joined the Westin Tokyo as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently in Cambodia at the InterContinental Phnom Penh as Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously overseen food and beverage for the Anantara Resort Hua Hin and Le Méridien Port Vila Resort & Casino.

Lausanne graduate Vincent Billiard has moved to the Ritz-Carlton Osaka as Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage. He was most recently in the same position at the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta.

André Nurman is the new Director of Food and Beverage at the Great Wall Sheraton Hotel Beijing. He was most recently with the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore as Director of In Room Dining.

The Langham Hospitality Group has promoted Andrew Jessop to Vice President - Development. He was most recently serving the group as Regional Vice President – Asia.

Ayumi Sakamoto has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Crowne Plaza Osaka. She was most recently the Director of Business Development of Narita Cluster, Ishin Hotel Operations.

The Leela Kempinski Mumbai has appointed Deepak Bhatia Executive Chef. He is the former Executive Chef of the Hyatt Regency Mumbai and the Hyatt Regency Kolkata.

Christian Poda has been named Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Hong Kong. He was most recently the Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa. His previous rooms experience includes posts with the Four Seasons Shanghai, the Four Seasons Berlin and the Four Seasons San Francisco.

Nikita Ramchandani has been promoted to Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Mumbai. She was most recently serving the hotel as Assistant Director of Rooms.

Simon Martin has joined the Shangri-La Kerry Centre Beijing as Director of Rooms. He was most recently the Director of Rooms at the InterContinental Montreal.

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

Tarek Mourad has moved as General Manager for the Four Seasons Baku in Azerbijan. Since 2007, he had served as General Manager for the Four Seasons Istanbul at Sultanahmet.

Felix Murillo has been promoted to General Manager at the Four Seasons Istanbul at Sultanahmet, taking over from Mourad. For the past two years, Murillo had been the Hotel Manager at sister property, the Four Seasons Istanbul at the Bosphorus.

Luigi Romaniello has been named Managing Director of the Rosewood Abu Dhabi. He was most recently in Atlanta as Managing Director of Rosewood's Mansion on Peachtree. He had previously served as Resident Manager of Caneel Bay and Hotel Manager of the Rosewood Crescent Hotel in Dallas.

Leonardo Baiocchi has been appointed General Manager of the Four Seasons Istanbul at the Bosphorus. Since 2007 he had been the Hotel Manager of the Four Seasons Firenze and Palazzo Tornabuoni Residence Club. He is a former Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh and Hotel Manager of the Four Seasons Budapest.

Borja Manchado is the new Resort Manager at the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh. He had previously served as Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Carmelo and Front Desk Manager at the Four Seasons Mexico City.

Oliver Kahf has been appointed General Manager overseeing the Renaissance Hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott and the Marriott Executive Apartments Doha City Center scheduled to open early this year. He had previously overseen both the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Center Hotel and the Marriott Executive Apartments Mumbai as Multi-Property General Manager.

The Doha Marriott Gulf Hotel has appointed Hossein Garan General Manager. He was most recently the opening General Manager of the Marriott Executive Apartments Bahrain.

The Fairmont Dubai has moved over Executive Chef Patrick Duff to the post of Director of Food and Beverage. He is the former Executive Chef for the Fairmont Beijing and had previously held various culinary positions with the Four Seasons Miami, the Sukhothai in Bangkok and the InterContinental Hong Kong.

John Cardona has joined the Sunset Beach Resort Marina and Spa in Saudi Arabia as Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously served in executive sales positions with Regent Hotels & Resorts, the Peninsula Hotel Group and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. Most recently, he had been overseeing the Berlin Convention Office based in New York.

Ameen Al-Darawsheh has joined the Sheraton Deira as Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently the Director of Convention Sales at the Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel.

The Kempinski Hotel Ajman has promoted Cem Kul to Director of Sales. He was most recently serving the hotel as Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously served in sales positions with the Kempinski Hotel The Dome and the Djibouti Palace Kempinski.

The Grand Millennium Al Wahda Abu Dhabi has appointed Eliza Siqueira Director of Rooms. She was previously with the Al Jawhara Hotel and Apartments in Dubai as Operations Manager. She is the former General Manager of the Queenstown Luxury Hotel and Spa in New Zealand and Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons New York.
 
The Grand Millennium Al Wahda Abu Dhabi has appointed Stuart Kay IT Manager. He was previously with the Ritz-Carlton Dubai as Director of IT.
